Well when mommy god and daddy god loved each other very much they.............................................. .*9 months later* out came Son god.

The next year, mommy and daddy god got a divorce. They kept shouting and forgot about Son god so they murdered each other and Son god was the only survivor, thus he changed his name to GOD

*cue Genesis*

Actually Im just kidding.

Sounds a lot like the greek story of the gods' creation.

Really? I thought I had made it up? Hmmm cool though. Greek mythology is truly fascinating.

Maybe the need created the magic.

the chances of us being able to comprehend much is like the chance of a spider on my porch understanding the space station

God is self existant. He has no beginning and no end.

So he/she/it popped up all of a sudden? This is odd...

yea...he had no beginning and he'll have no end...its such a head trip to try to think that someone never "began" and was always there.....no matter HOW far you go back he was there....AHHHH!!

and Drew was right on the money....we cant comprehend God by any means...i know its a convenient answer without proof but what do you expect? You think God is limited by Human logic and wonder? He's millions of light years beyond us.

Now i don't know the whole story or all the names, but it goes something like this:

There were the old gods, i dont know their names. The king of the old gods was waning in power, and his wife was about to give birth to a bunch of babygods. So, to protect his power, he decided to eat them as they were born. The mothergod didn't want to lose all her kids, so she replaced the last one with a stone, and sent the last one away where he could gain power and save his siblings. This was the god Zeus.

Eventually, Zeus came back and freed his brothers and sisters from their father's stomach, and a war was started.

There were 2 mountains atop which the gods fought, the old and the new. The old gods fought with earthquakes and lava, while the new gods fought with thunder and lightning. After a long war, the old gods' mountain collapsed, and the new mountain became olympus.
