I'm tring to upgrade my processor on my computer and I need to change the code on my bios. If anyone can help that'd be great.

If your motherboard supports the CPU you bought, it should automatically change speeds when you put it in.

not true, AMD processors do not automatically overclock, This comes from expereince in that they say something like 2800+ (my cpu) which actually starts life as a 2000 then when you change the bios settings it jumps to 2800+. No idea why, and i cant remember without being at that computer, what i did to change it however when i get home i will quickly test run it and explain in more detail. ITs the simplest settings though, on the main screen of the bios.

I remember my 1500+ would always get recognized as a plain Athlon 1.0 GHz if the FSB was set too low.
