Have you ever been targeted by racial abuse?

I ask this question because it happened at work the other day by a couple of african guys saying shit to me, but the weird thing is whilst the stuff they were saying was racist, i was only annoyed because they were being dicks.

Im British-white, and i honestly never consider anything nasty said to me, to be racist. In my social group the black guys coined the term Wigga for the white guys as a kind of twist on the Nig** term, but we just found this comical.

What i guess im getting at is that if a bunch of black guys beat the shit outta me because i was white, i wouldnt want to kick their ass because it was a 'racist' attack, id want to kick their ass because they whooped mine.

Anyone else feel the same?

It’s called reverse racism, which is growing in the United States at least. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not racist against any other race or anything…but, there is an increased amount of hate on the other end these days coming from African Americans, it seems. I can understand why they would dislike whites, but honestly, if they want to end racism in the US, they cannot start acting like the racists themselves, for it will only fuel the racist movement again throughout the US.

Its quite simply... "racism" not sure what all this reverse crap is about. People like OD have to have a neat little label to put on it so that they know its actually a white person that is the victim of racism. That way, he knows not to get too outraged before reading what really happened. Political correctness at its finest.

To answer the original question, yes I have. I think that anyone that has any association with people from other races is bound to be a "victim" (for lack of a more suitable word) of racism. There are small minded people of all colors on this planet.

But, of course, here in America, white racism is the only form that is really followed with a vengeance.

LOL! I am outraged. And you know what? Racism is USUALLY against minorities, check up on your history HaVok. And now it's being reversed against the majority. Why am I not as outraged? Because we are the majority, and I look out for the minority more then I do the majority. Period.

LOL! Okay. I do look out for myself first, you win! But I still look out for the minorities more then I do the majority. Yes, I look out for myself first and foremost, you sure got me there HaVok! Then I suppose I look out for my friends and family second. Then I look out for the minority. And then I look out for the majority. Okay, I still look out for the minority more then I do the majority. So what's your point? :@@:

I might be a racist. I seperate whites and coloreds when doing laundry. Whites only get bleach. I don't care much for cheese nips. It's hate food you know. Also, I never buy black olives or brown eggs. Nor do I buy kosher salt. I prefer white rice to brown. And I never go to a white sale on Presidents day.

I'll admit it. I'm quite racist. Not a black person person. I'm much more willing to talk to white people than black people. Not willing to talk to anybody except those I know if I can help it though. Although a good friend of mine last year was a gay black man. Damn he was awesome.

The other day my dog came into the house and took a crap on the floor, I think this is some sort of reverse racism. He knows that I can crap in the house but I make him go outside, poor thing. Next week the local mutts and him are going to go around and burn toilets infront of dog houses. There is even a dog rumor going around that they may hang cats that have liter boxes. What should I do? call Rodney King :D :D :D

play nice, guys...
to answer the question posed, yes; my family and i have been subjected to racial abuse. would you believe that a man once stopped me in a grocery store and told me,"you got your hands full. you should've left the little nigglets at home" (my children are bi-racial). my oldest son cried; my youngest son asked what that word meant. when i explained that it was an ugly word that stupid people use to describe people different than themselves (i tried to soften the blow...he's still quite young), he asked whythat mean man hates him for no reason. people like that deserve to be shot.

racism is a funny thing (not ha-ha funny, but funny). why not discriminate against one another on the basis of pinkie length? or nostril size? or leg-hair thickness? if you're going to pick something useless to pay attention to, why does it have to be skin colour?

jennygadling

amen!!
there are far too many reasons to hate someone (mainly because of one's stupidity...lol); it's a shame to do so because of someone's race.

if only that were the extent of every bigot's hatred; we'd be ok!

Jenny,

It's too bad you didn't wait for this guy to come out of the store, then knock him flat with your car, then tell him if it wasn't for your "nigglets" distracting you, you wouldn't have hit him.

The one good thing about inter-racial marriage is that it's going to be harder to find racists. I suspect in a few years everybody is going to have people outside of their race on some branch of their family tree somewhere. It's a good thing overall.

I can also tell you that my sister not only married a black guy, but he's muslim as well. Black guys I can live with, this muslim thing has got me on edge, though. I'll trust my sister's judgement and not serve pork chops when they come to visit.

darth, it's as if you KNOW me!!
trust me, i was tempted to inflict severe bodily harm on him. i wanted to slam his face into the glass doors of the frozen foods freezer. but, since my kids were there (and already upset by this jackass), i let it go. i figured he'd piss off the wrong individual eventually and get his just dessert.
you know, as far as the blending of the races, i think that's what scares most racists. if black and white join (to form gray?), then the basis of their hatred is gone. for good. i guess that's scary when that's all you have to define you. oh well, screw them all.

by the way, it's a good idea not to serve the muslim pork chops. be the bigger man. if he's a true muslim, he'll appreciate the respect. if he's one of those "militant" muslims (like one of farakhan's people- sorry if i misspelled), he'll hang himself (no pun intended) eventually and your sister will kick him to the curb!

I think racism is horrible and wierd. Do you know that the differences that people call race make up only .0128 percent of our dna. There is no white, black, it's just dark and darker we all have the same pigment. Race use to be more about what country you came from, now it is looked at as skin color.

***I think these racist movements that hoist up the bible as there book are the funniest because they preach about Jesus, and whites being the choosen race, when most likely Jesus would have been of some color.

jennygadling

that always cracks me up. the bible, the book they base their beliefs on, describes jesus as having skin of brass and hair of lamb's wool; maybe it's just me, but that sounds completely opposite from those pictures of the blond hair, blue-eyed jesus often depicted. it sounds as if maybe jesus was a man of color.

Sadly, there is racist people in all races. Although I have never actually encountered it perosnally, there are some who have talked against my wife and I being an interracial couple.

My wife encountered it personally at a place she worked at a few years ago. She encountered it from both sides of the fence.

One day, she and another black woman was assigned to work with these 2 white women. These 2 white women were both racist. They didn't like working with my wife and the other black woman because of them being black The reluctantly worked with my wife and the other woman only because they had to.

Another day a short time afterwards, my wife was working with a black woman. This black woman asked my wife "So Rita, is your husband also an African?" My wife replies "No, he's a Canadian." The other woman then asks "A black Canadian, right?" Rita replies "No, a white Canadian."

Right then and there that other black woman would never talk to my wife again. She disassociated with my wife because she is married to a white guy.

We all need each other in this world regardless of race or color. No-one is any better than anyone and it's pathetic how some people look at a person because of what they look like on the outside by what their national origin is. They senselessly hurt each other by being racist against others.

These people literally twist the scripture to suit theior own agenda's. There is nowhere in the bible that mentions the color of someone's skin.

The bible speaks against racism and bigotry. The bible tells us to love one another, not love people providing that they have the same skin color. The bible tells us to do unto others as we would have done unto us, not do unto others providing they are the same race. The bible tells us to be in unity, not be in unity with only those of the same color or race.

Also, in the book of Acts, chapter 2, on the day of Pentacost, people of different nations all came to whorship the Lord. They were in one accord and in unity the way it should be. That is how God wants us to live.

all of which makes it more laughable when these hate mongers try to reinforce their stupid positions with scripture.
