Mary Magedalene and the pirory of Sion
any information or views would be very grateful:)
Captain, you touch on a subject of great mystery and contraversey. To study the PoS is to leave with many unanswered questions.
Thru the centuries great men were involved from Kings, Popes, Industrial leaders , Leonardo da Vinci, and Masons.
As with many things of ancient history it is cloaked in secret messages, death, and powerful coverups.
I do feel that somethings of great importance were covered up.
I feel that Berenger Sauniere the priest of Rennes-Les-Chateau discovered something that the Catholic Church paid dearly to hush.
I believe that the history of Mary Magdalene has been deliberately changed to make her look like a whore instead of the lady she was. I believe that her relationship with Jesus was clouded to cover religious beliefs.
Those in power of organized religious beliefs will stop at nothing to keep doubt from destroying their power. I believe that facts at some point become secondary to maintaining the faith.
I believe the history of occuring events are changed to suit the religion instead of the other way around.

I attempted to study the Priory of Sion. The only remotely interesting thing about the Da Vinci Code, those deeper mysteries(His sucked serious ass). Half of which I'd already heard about, a quarter was new information, and the remaining quarter wasn't true. Priory of Sion, never really existed. At least not in the sense you're thinking about. There was an Order of Sion, and a Priory of Sion. No evidence to a connection, at least I've never seen any. I've seen no connection between Mary Magdalene and the Priory of Sion. Much of what is about and by the Priory contradicts itself, is quite confusing, and in cases just will never make sense. No biblical evidence of Magdalene being Jesus' lover, in either the Gnostic Gospels or the Bible itself. I have no clue what Gnostic Gospel Brown was looking at to get that one quote... Frankly, there is little to no information on either Magdalene or the Priory. One thing we do know, any information the Catholic Church will give us will probably be shit, and whatever they attempt to cover up will probably be gold. I really don't think they can be trusted.

No, you know what worked for the Bible? The millions who have not been blind to its message. If accepting the word of God is hubaballoo than just consider me a practicing hubaballoist.

im reading Da Vinci code right now...
one thing that made me laugh was at the VERY beginning, there was a statement saying "all facts in this book are accurate"...
lol, thats like a Presidential Candidate starting off his platform speech saying the same thing......
its a GOOD book, whether or not you take the conspiracy seriously is your call.....

I couldnt agree with this post more.
The book is a very interesting and intriging read....just as long as you remember its fiction.
I haven't got round to actually reading the Da Vinci code, although I have always had a fascination for the subject. This is primarily due to Umberto Eco's books especially Focault's Pendulum.
Roslyn Abbey and it's history is as yet fully unresearched and I believe there may be a strong connection that is as yet undiscovered - at least i'd like to think so. We all like a mystery!
As for the truth about Christ and Mary Magdaline - well as far as I can remember Jesus was supposed to be a man. He had the failings and frailties of mankind. Therefore I cannot see why the most natural of instincts should not have been part of his make-up. After all if you belief in the scriptures God made man and woman. Why? To tease each other? No. To do what men and women do.
