I just wanted to know what does everyone think happens to you when you die, I believe Heaven being with God and Jesus Christ as written in the Bible.

I was forced to choose "something else" because my honest answer to the question is: "I don't know."

Yeah "word" to your mom.
On the question - my answer would be - it's impossible to know. Any view is a pure guess.

I do strongly believe in the afterlife, but I can't vote for either Heaven or Hell because I don't know where I'll end up.
It's not that I'm doubtful, just that I don't know.

The creator led me here for a reason as well......and he doesn't care if we are all not Christians.....Creator is not that petty.
And i picked something else....I think we might return to the circle.

What's so funny Overdose? I keep seeing you say this...but I cant come up with a reason, other than youre being obnoxious to someone who chooses to believe in God.
I hope you can change my mind.

You oversimplify things, Jere. No one is faulting minister for believing in God. We are faulting him because he is a closed-minded twit.

This particular discussion had nothing to do with anything that could have anything to do with being closeminded.
He was merely providing my post a compliment. Complimenting something you agree with is hardly being closeminded.

You've lost me. You say that OD is faulting minister for believing in God. Then suddenly, you seem to change your mind at once and say that that topic is not relevant to what we're talking about, even though it is.

Borg your missing the point. What I'm saying is....all Minister's point said was that he agreed with me. Then OD said the laughing crap. Even if it wasnt rude and obnoxious to post such a thing, what relevance would it have had in the first place to his post in this thread?

My laughing has just as much relevance as what Minster says. Look, all he does for the most part, is post quotes from the Bible. He posts quotes from the Bible, to try and get people who don’t believe in the Bible, to “convert” to Christianity. Make sense? No. Hell if I care what the Bible says. So before he posts quotes from the Bible, maybe he should convince us to actually believe in the Bible. Because until then, his quotes and sayings from the Bible are meaningless and useless.

Oh yes I forgot - you have to buy into it for no good reason, only then do you get the reason.
Sounds like a salesman that says I will only tell you the price after you buy it.
Were I lost, friendless, insecure, or in prison I might consider a religion to screw them out of something.

Ok...so he should make you believe in something to make you want to read it?
Let me ask you something...
How in the world are you going to know whats in it to believe if he doesnt quote from it?

To believe you first must thirst for the knowledge and be willing to accept the truth.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments." Luke 16:23

I think almost everybody has a thirst for knowledge.
What you really meant to say is
"To believe you must have a thirst to hang your hat on something no matter what and be willing to accept what other people tell you"

Maybe God sent you the truth thru me and you were not thirsty.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Wouldn't it have been better if Christ just came and visited with each of us explaining about sin rather than using a book that could be questioned by the intelligence God gave us.
"And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments." Luke 16:23

Fine, now we are going to take our eyes with us to Heaven.
Taken I guess from our rotting corpse.

It's funny how hard you guys try to ridicule and persecute christian beliefs. We follow the bible, it's not that hard to understand. If you are a christian you believe Christ's words.

NO mininster, without man their is no religions. Invented ways to worship. If there were no God, men could still have religions.

Why would a Supreme Being need religions to exist? I feel that he would be insulted by mans futile attempt to reach him through the conflict which has been caused by religions.
I am not offended in any way as I hope I do not offend. I have studied man and his religions for decades. I enjoy most of the discussions.

Why is it funny?
Ridicule - sure, persecute - hardly.
It's called having a reasoned opinion. You can't really say that somebody who questions your mostly crack pot exclusive belief set is strange. Why does questioning you upset you so much? Perhaps it is because you have a hard time believing much of it yourself. Is rocking the edifice uncomfortable?
There is no question that I understand that you believe "Christs" words. What I don't understand is why you believe things that are patently off the wall and as you have shown - contradictory, unreliable and impssible to defend in any reasonable manner.
If you want to get a picture of what Heaven is going to be like based on Christian description - watch the Star Trek episode 'The Return of the Arcons'

Ok, can I give a little constructive criticism here?
I don't mean to pick on you but, when you are trying to educate people on your stance, using belittling Bible verses isn't going to win people over. If you truly follow Christ, IMO, you would rise above any criticism from others as your verse suggests.

That verse belittles no one, it was Jesus speaking in that verse.

His constructive comment was well placed. He wasn't saying the verse itself is belittling - he said you were. Different thing mate.
