This is one of the best t.v. shows I have ever been addicted to!

Definitely a darn good show. Surely the Falwells of the world will be taking action against it soon.

The whole show promotes married women to be unfaithful to their husbands. And worse yet it tries to put a smiley face on it, i would NOT want to date a girl who was all about Desperate Housewives LOL.

Decka, the point is your looking at attractive women posing as mums. I dont intend to pay a great deal of attention to the storyline, just look at the stunning selection of ladies they have choosen for the show.

It shows it, but I don't see how it promotes it. Unless people are so stupid that they copy everything they see on TV.

it makes it seem like its not a big deal, when it is hutz. And Loki, im not shallow enough to watch a show just for the actresses because they are "hot".....i need more than that to watch a show.

There is a lot more to the show than sex. Maybe you're shallow enough to make a judgment on the show without watching it?

perhaps they shouldn't have called it "desperate housewives" then....dont try to make ME out as the bad guy here.....

If being shallow is not watching things that you dont agree with, then im shallow. However, i think the people who write these shows are far more shallow than I.......

OMG Decka - Housewives is the greatest thing! Drama and Comedy all rolled into one! I liked Bree until her recent chat with George at the diner -- I get the feeling she's a right winger! LOL!

It's not a bad show, but just like The OC and other things like that, I don't see the big deal about it...

Well, if they are going to call it "desperate housewives"...they should have thought about the name being kind of suggestive. Maybe i am shallow...but sometimes you just know you aren't going to like a show, because most of the time a title has at least SOMETHING to do with what the show is about.

I mean, if someone named a show "Torturing Children" LOL....and people didnt watch it because they thought it was a sick name....are they shallow? i dont think so, i think the name of the show fended them off. Its not my fault the makers of "desperate housewives" named their show after something that entirely ticks me off, which is women being unfaithful to their husbands.......

How about husbands being unfaithful to their wives? Lots of that too.

i just don't think a show called desperate husbands would be a commercial hit.

They're already thinking of doing a spin-off called Desperate Children.

Deka I think you misinterpreted the use of the word "desperate" in the title. It does not imply desperate for sex... it implies a general feeling about their lives and desperate people do desperate things.

I LOVE the show. Daine Sawyer and Oprah Winfrey are going to guest star. Ryan O'neil already has. He is looking some kinda pudgy...wow!

We'll see if the characters grow or if they stay static. That will determine if the show lives or dies.

i dont think i did Sal....this society is freakin BASED off sex..so when a show called "desperate housewives" comes on...what am i to expect? lol

Naah Decka..ya have to have power and money in there too... otherwise it's just a porno world with no character development,..no wait...... those don't involve character development either... ;)

Man, I havent seen it yet, but believe me, I want to. Its just that every time it comes on, I always tied up with something else. I've even went to eBay hoping to find something but came up empty. :(

I'll catch it one day though ;)
