I've seen other allforum threads come up on google. Is there something special you have to do to get that?

Ask Google. It's their algorithm, not ours.

look for the link at the bottom of the page called history
This brings up SE friendly pages for google to crawl. The pages are not real pages - the server creates them as you click to them - sounds strange, but you'll see what I mean.
There are plenty of vbulletin hacks to do this if the server is Linux, but allforums runs on a windows server, so i had to create something myself.

Well Jere, the thing is, nobody really knows how Google does what it does. Their PageRank algorithm is mostly a secret...all we really know is very general. Pages get ranked based on who links to them, and what words are on it, and a whole bunch of other variables. And the higher the PageRank, the higher the result is on a Google results page. Proper nouns, I am told, tend to boost a PageRank score, though I think that may only be for Google News, which is also entirely automated, i.e. no human interference with the results.

WHY?! My DESKTOP is Linux, fer gawd's sake, that's how bad Windows is. And you expect it to run a SERVER properly? No wonder Allforums experiences random MySQL crashes!
FreeBSD is the best server OS there is. Linux is second. Windows is 854,395,176th.

I'm with borg.... ARE YOU MAD?! Is it at least a 2003 server? FreeBSD is the best server OS. As long as you're not using Apache2... THAT would explain the MySQL crashes, since MySQL doesn't support Apache2. Anyways, it'd be cheaper to use Linux or FreeBSD. :D
