This is something that I've been pondering for quite a while. Did Hitlers Navy ever build an Aircraft Carrier? If so, where can I find info on it?

The Germans did build an aircraft carrier, the Graf Zeppelin. It was launched in 1938, but never completed due mainly to infighting in the German Naval Bueracracy and the opposition of Hermann Goerring. Here is a link to a site that gives some good info.

I'll be damned - I had no idea. Even if they had completed it, Hitler probably would've done what he did with the rest of the surface fleet - make them stay in port for fear of them getting scratched.
