I didn't even pay attention to it until you mentioned it. And completely off-topic here, and this isn't necessarily aimed at you Decka, but why do Republicans always have to comment on art? Like Guiliani and the elephant dung picture of the Virgin Mary. It happens over and over again - some obscure artist destined to a life of starvation whips up some sculpture of Jesus having an orgy. A Republican, when given the choice between expressing outrage, bringing untold fame and fortune to the artist, or keeping quiet about it and having the art thrown in the dumpster after the three people that actually saw it refused to take it for free, the Republican will always choose to express outrage. "must . . . say . . . something. Must . . . express . . . indignation . . . ." Meanwhile the disgusting artists retires to Tahiti.

Sorry. [/rant]

It's because republicans are usually not educated beyond the high school level. And some of them even have to drop out of HS in fear of passing up their fathers -- ROTF.

Democrats are more likely to have a college education and particularily degrees awarded for graduate and post-graduate levels of education which means the dems have been trained to be critical thinkers -- not lemmings following rush and FOX news off the cliff.

In short -- republicans prove everyday the old saying "we're always afraid of what we don't understand."

DOP...as i sit here i am amazed as to how wrong and off-base that statement is. You can think it all you want in your own world, far be it from me to rain on your parade, but i bet far more educated people vote republican than democrat. How can you say this when democrats get all their votes from unemployed, welfare receiving, city folk?

And as far as Lionel Hutz's post is concerned......hogwash. I am disgusted by what the picture represents, therefore i can't really enjoy its artistic beauty. You all know i dont think any of our bodies are "ours"....so if she kills herself, she's murdering to me. She might as well be shooting another person, and have them float up to butterflies. The notion that killing yourself gives you peace and harmony, represented by butterflies, is kinda crappy in my opinion. Besides...she's being very selfish in the social environment, taking the easy way out instead of dealing with problems, and bringing greif to family and friends.....suicide and grace and harmony have NOTHING in common, which is what the picture is trying to depict.

It figures that people being mad brings echo pleasure....i wouldnt see why its what fuels her to get up everyday...

And as far as echo being "turned on" by the picture....are you a necro?

Wrong Decka -- many studies have been done with results showing a much higher IQ in blue states Vs. red states. The point isn't even arguable -- it's common knowledge.

Seriously. It’s common knowledge that blue states do indeed have more people who go to college. My mom just printed out all the states, in terms of what percent of each state went to college…and more of the blue states had a higher percent of college educated people.

As for my drawing, I won’t remove it. I personally think it’s beautiful, and very artistic like everyone has been saying.

You know, Dop - you're one hell of a deluded prick. My father has more intellect in his pinky finger than you do your entire body. I suppose it's difficult to wax intellectually with someone whose busy taking learning cues from fucking aliens, but I guess that's another issue for another debate. What have you done with your life other than ingest copious quantities of methyl amphetamines in order to better understand the universe and it's intricacies, for it's VERY apparent the late 60's and early 70's were REALLY good to you, weren't they? My father was educated at several prestigious prep academies, graduated valedictorian in high school, and magna cum laude at Dartmouth. He moved on to a career in the Air Force and retired after 17 yrs of service as a lieutenant colonel. What was your rank when you left the Navy??? I've been very fortunate my entire life and have had the honor of meeting a ton of successful people - mostly conservatives - and I consider myself lucky to have learned what I can from them. I suppose I shouldn't get pissed over the ramblings of an aging hippy, for the only thing more disconcerting than that is an ex-serviceman with no loyalty.

and that wouldnt have anything to do with their actual time in college would it OD? I bet more people come out liberal then went in liberal. I would also bet that a lot of people that come out of college liberals are no longer liberal 10-15 years down the road. what we have here is another one sided study from OD.

He also went to college ... he took his sister her lunch one day.

Understood, but you have to admit, your prior post was REALLY degrading, and that's what spired my nasty response. You lumped all Republicans into a category that was akin to describing the people who rode the short bus to school, and while I can see that some of your points were valid, you failed to see how offensive that post was in the first place. The reason I mentioned my father was because he's a pretty staunch Republican and he's a prime example of being diametrically opposed to the caliber of person you were ridiculing.

Btw, it sounds like your dad had a pretty rich history. Interesting stuff...:)
