I was curious to know what people's preferences were regarding batteries? I've read that alkalines were meant to be much better than those cheaper heavy duty brands, such as they last longer, work better in extreme temperatures and have a longer shelf life. I admit I bought some cheap heavy duties when I first got my digital camera to try and save some cash, boy was that a big mistake. I popped in some alkalines and instantly got 4 times the life out of my camera.

Yes, alkalines do keep their charge longer.
