The Iraqi Ambassador to the UN has just finished giving a speech, and walks out into the lobby where he meets President Bush.
They shake hands and as they walk the Iraqi says, "You know, I have just one question about what I have seen in America."
President Bush says, "Well your Excellency, anything I can do to help you, I will do."
The Iraqi whispers "My son watches this show 'Star Trek' and in it there are Russians, and Blacks, and Asians, but never any Arabs.
He is very upset. He doesn't understand why there are never any Arabs in Star Trek."
President Bush laughs and leans toward the Iraqi, and whispers back, "It's because it takes place in the future..."

Here's one
President Clinton is out jogging, and he encounters a man with some puppies. Clinton asks the man what kind of puppies they are, and the man responds, "They're Democrat puppies, Mr. President." Clinton thinks that is so great that the next day he brings the first lady to see these puppies for herself. He asks the man to tell Hillary what kind of puppies they are, and the man responds, "They're Republican puppies." The president looks puzzled and says, "Yesterday, you told me they were Democrat puppies."
The man smiles and says, "Yesterday, they were. But today, they have their eyes open!"

Just because you think it's joke does not mean others might not like it. The other day I was forced to go to church (and I will never go back) with my girl friend and the priest actually said something worth while. He was talking about respect and how even if you say it jokingly others may find it offensive and how we need to watch what we say or joke about because were all equal. Even if its a simple as a joke about race or sex you should at least mind others and respect them.

You're right you should respect others. You should also realize you are in a humor forum.

Even if its in the humor section does not mean it could upset someone. It does not justify anything.

Jokes do not show a persons beliefs, ideaology, of political views. They are jokes and should be taken as such. For example, I posted a joke titled Big Foot on this forum. It insults women. It was also told to me by my wife. I do not think women are inferior to men in any way. But I still know a decent joke when I hear one. Bottom line is, if you don't like a joke, fine. Everyone has different tastes, but don't condem someone for posting a joke in the Humor Forum.

Jokes do show personal beliefs, ideaology, and political views and I can open the news paper or search the internet and fine a whole load of jokes on those topics in a matter of minutes. I've also seen "jokes" (even on this forum) that have offended womin. In fact I even posted some found here on other boards and many of the womin were upset. Who cares if its in the humor section people still might find it offensive and people have.
