I have Win.MX, its okay, although KaZaAlite is good too...

do you have any tips on how to use either of them? I have both and I haven't gotten the hang of how to use them without getting a bunch of junk on my computer.

I believe all P2P applications are corrupted with tons of ads... I like yahoos launchcast.com , its kinda like radio but you rate the songs, and it is very effective on playing the ones you really like a lot and picking out good ones..

Which connection types are you using? I'm using WinMX by a broadband cable connection with a download rate of 64 k. Of course, there are very often trash files beeing downloaded, but that doesn't disturb very much, 'cause the connection is fast enough to download some files simultaniously and to delete the bad ones after download.

KaZaAlite (notice the lite part) eliminates all the ads

For people who just want a simple "Search And Download" program, use Blubster.. www.download.com

I personally use IRC and HotFile...

They are kind of complicated, but I can get albums at a time, no corrupt files, and I get things before they are released... :-)
