I have been waiting for the chance for my 5 year old son and I to get our Flu Shots. For some reason because of all the Hype I am thinking we are waiting for our chance to be saved. LOL.
I understand that the elderly and the babies need the Flu Shots more desperately to survive, because of lower immune systems. However I am concerned about this because the groups that are allowed Flu Shots are not the working class of people. I was talking to a lady at work and when I said "I can't afford to get sick" I meant it literally, she responded with the same. Well....if all the working class gets sick and cannot go to work how the Hell are we able to pay for the Social Security for the elderly or the Welfare to the mothers of the young children. If I get the Flu... I have To go to work, which will mean that I will infect 100's of people because I work in Customer service. If my son gets sick, I cannot put him in daycare and go to work, which also means that I am losing out on money, and the government is losing out on taxes.
I understand this may seem insensitive, but I believe it should be first come first serve, I know I will not be as available to go to the clinic and stand in line as a retired person would, so this should give them some comfort. I don't know what else to say other then the fact I feel that everyone should be allowed to get a Flu shot.
