People name their kids some of the weirdest names. What are some strange names you have heard or crazy spellings?

I used to work with a girl named Dionysia, pronounced like Denisha. I've got others, I just cant think of them right now! Grrr!!

While I've encountered a lot of really unique names over the years, Engelbert Humperdinck remains pretty near the top of the list.

I knew a girl who named her two sons Perceval (french for Parsifal) and Lohengrin. She probably loved Wagner.

A TV staion near my home did a story on this once. It got to where some family in Nebraska (I believe) named their daughter "Money" In hopes that some day, they'd win the lottery.

Many years ago, I briefly attended a private boarding school in Tennessee (after three months, I couldn't take it any more. Neither could they.) and they name their kids some weird shit, yo.

Some of my former schoolmates:

Hutch Carter
Sputt Hooper
Forrest Ladd (went by "Frosty")
J. Hill and his brother Moe Hill (*giggle*)
Alton Oschner
Crittendon Curry
John-John Johnson
Byron Loyd
Julian Tune
Houston Johnston
Wilkes Coffey
Minos Fletcher
Perkins Trousdale

I went to school with a guy named Mark Bean. He later married and had a daughter he named LIMA. I believe that would consitute child abuse. lol

Hehe..those are some strange names! I know a guy that said he went to school with someone named Dodge Bamburger. I went to school with a guy named Lucious, but pronounced with a long u, so it was like Loocious. I also went to school with a Leonidas, but he went by Andy.

And what about common names? I dont mean to offend anyone that may have these names on here, but if I hear another child being named Hailey, Destiny, Madison, or Makenzie, I'm gonna scream!

I have no room to make fun of anyone's name but here's a couple I recently heard that come to mind....

Moey Mutz -- wide receiver for Arizona State University Sundevils

-- and --

Vashe Vuisokoprevoskhoditelstvo -- a old russian name usually reserved for the rich and powerful.

I remember a story from a couple of years back about a guy in Cleveland named Al Kaida. He was having a heck of a time making reservations on the phone for anything. Many times the police were dispatched when he tried to reserve a table at a restaurant, or fly somewhere on vacation.

There is a city near me who....upon a quick check of the phone book...registers a man by the name of Peter Cheese.
