We had a guy posting on how you can get a free flat screen tv. I really take a somewhat dim view of people using a site such as this to try and sell their stuff. So I posted a scathing reply.

I forgot EXACTLY what I said, but I know I complained about the moderators not squashing that guy's spam posting fast enough. Unfortunately, it seemed that I was complaining about the moderators. My real intent was to let that guy know that using a discussion board for spamming is not a welcome activity.

Well, borg let me know that he does the best they can with what time he does have on these boards. He took offense at my posting, and I can't blame him.

So I'm apologizing to him publicly for my boorish remarks, and will work on not misstating my criticisms.

And your feelings about the idiot spammer are well-understood and shared by me. As a moderator on a moderately-sized forum, I certainly loathe them, as they generate a lot of work for me. However, they never seem to stay away...
