I don't see my Vikings in the super bowl this year.....however at least a fairly competitive playoff team. My pic is for the Steelers to win it.

nah, the vikings lost their footing when randy moss was out; proved to everyone that their entire football team revolves around one player. that's just not smart football. anyone who watches football will agree with me on that (i think). steelers are kicking ass, too. i called philly and pittsburg in the pre-season; i'd still love to see that happen. i hope they can knock the pats out of it.:hitout:

I'm still hoping my Packers will advance far into the playoffs. After a rocky start, they have really come together. They have two really tough games left, both on the road. The games against the Vikings and Eagles will determine their fate. If they win both of those, they could finish 12-4 and win the NFC North. If they lose both, they would at best be a wild card team. As is usual for the last few years, it comes down to the Vikings and Packers in the North, and it is tough to beat the Vikings in their dome.

I agree with that, but while he was gone, we learned to utilize other players on the field and help them to become better...now that Moss is back in, we're just that much better. You gotta admit, Jermaine Wiggins is having one hell of a year.

yeah, who knew? don't get me wrong, i think minnesota has one hell of a team and mike tyse is a good coach; i think they got too comfortable relying on moss and when he was out, they were forced to step up and make something happen.
just a note: i think dante' culpepper is amazing!

Amen to that. I'm also thankful that the Denny Green era is over too.

Well what better place to send him to.....THAN TO ARIZONA?!?! Granted he is putting credibility into a squalid organization, but let him deal with the agony that Cardinals fans have had to suffer with.

Farvre is amazing. He can carry a whole team when he has to. Unfortunately he has to all to often. He is also aware that he is playing for the record books now. He will truly have a place in the hall of fame. What he wants most is one more ring, and he doesn't have that many more opportunities.
Our running back situation is grim. Injuries have decimated the position. Ahmad Carrol is beginning to learn the cornerback position however. As a rookie, he is finally beginning to get it. Hopefully our injuries will heal in time for the playoffs. If so, things could get very interesting in January. But first, we have to beat the Vikings in their dome.

McKenzie has tons of talent. He was also incredibly divisive on the team this year. The problems, in my opinion, were the reason for the Packers poor start. As far as the Packers, I'm glad he is gone, although he had been a good player.
The problem with him is ego combined with greed. He is sure he is God's gift to football, and he expects to be payed and treated like it.
He may well do better somewhere other than Green Bay. A fresh start does some players a lot of good, but it won't help if he doesn't change his attitude.

Uh, no. I have to say though that his sudden change in attitude really threw me. One season he's happy as a clam and the next he's all of a sudden a prima donna that thinks he's allowed to dictate personnel decisions and such things? Very odd.

yeah, he truly believes he's the best. sorry! there are 10 more just as good or better right around the corner. maybe someone should remind him of that the next time he wants to get all "diva".

I think the best reflection of McKenzie's actual personality, as opposed to what he showed the fans in Green Bay, is the number of agents he's had. I remember an article last summer that mentioned he was on his fifth agent, because the first four had each quit. Consider what it takes to get someone to quit representing someone of his earning power when they are paid a percentage. That is the true Mike McKenzie.

how do you win the superbowl with a bad running back. Then get corey dillion. You have to win the superbowl or it is a failed season.

Are you saying any team that doesnt win the Super Bowl had a failed season? I disagree. Anytime a team gets better they had a successful year in my book.

I think he's saying that if you win the superbowl and then improve your team in the off-season, you had damn well better repeat as superbowl champs or you'll look stupid.

Ok, than I can understand that.
Oh, and after watching the game between the Pats and Bengals...I def. see that nothing is going to be easy for them. And besides people forget that team dynasty only won both superbowls by a last second field goal.
A bizzar team this year -and my pick to win it all- is the Steelers. They go 2 and 2 in the preseason....and then lose their 2nd game of the season....and then never look back....beating everybody, including the Patriots.

i called steelers and the eagles in the preseason. earlier on i said if new england goes to the bowl, philly's gonna whip their asses. but i think pittsburg's gonna beat them out and go to the bowl. eagles and steelers, eagles slide by (finally!!)
