I have a fourteen year old niece who requested CD's for Christmas. I have no clue what CD's are popular with girls in that age group. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what kind of music young people listen to these days, either.

I suggest two things.

ONE: Give your niece a gift certificate to a local music store. Then she could pick out her own musid, or DVD or whatever.

TWO: Set her up with a subscription to Apples I-Tunes. Downloads are only 99 cents a song. You can pay in advance. Give her say 20 or 50 dollars and she can download all her favorite tunes.

THREE: I just had to add one more! Buy her a mini I-Pod. They hold hours worth of music, are well made, and the MP-3 player will be VERY appreciated. Especially once you realize just how expensive they are.

Thanks, those are good ideas. All of them also keep me out of trouble with my brother. Let her deal with parental disapproval.
