It seems our recent offensives against the terrorists is having an effect.

I had mentioned in an earlier post made by old reb that the insurgents were the ones gunning down the sunni clerics becasue they wouldnt endorse the terrorists or declare a jihad. some of that is in this articel. zarqawi and his minions are on the run and in serious fear of being routed. they are having trouble getting as many iraqis to join up as they want, and cant sit still for more then a day or two without coalition forces blowing their asses up. we are beating them.

sorry to rain on your parade overdose, but I was getting sick of all your posts like "Soldiers Died in War today" and calling bush a failure before the war is even over. defeatism never wins war overdose. thats what calling it a failure before its over is, defeatism.

I read an article that these al-queda types are also trying to stir trouble in Afghanistan. Seeing as how Afghanistan is going so well with its move towards democracy.

Over all, it's good news. But I'll rest easier once Zarqawi and the other leaders are dead or captured.

yes, it would bring a great deal of satisfaction to see these scum captured or killed, but thats about it. bin laden is operationally irrelevant, and zarqawi is quickly becoming irrelevant. what we have to do is keep a sharp eye out for the next zarqawi who will emerge and deal with them before they rise to prominance
