This is a letter I recieved from AOL after they found my link to allforums to be inappropiate. They put a formal reprimand on my AOL account, and froze my account, and made me change my password.

AOHells' membership guidelines amount to WalMart level censorship. That's when one individual is offended by something & the entire country is denied seeing the item on Wallyworld's shelves ... for example, George Carlin's latest book.
If AOHell doesn't like AllForums, all the better.

yes.. I am rebelling... I am trying to put as much controversal stuff on my profile as possible. Getting ready to give AOL the AX anyway... might as well cause as much disruption as I possibly can while I still can.

It's just this kind of crap that made me cancel AOL.

I saw a commercial for netzero.com today with all the AOL customers in line to cancel their accounts. So I decided to make the call, about 2 hours ago as a matter of fact, now I can violate TOS for AOL all I want. ::giggles::

AOL is a major contributor to the GOP and does not tollerate any traffic that deviates from absolute fascist boot-licking.

Several people I know have dropped AOL because of exactly what you are going through.

Get used to it -- bush's new america.

Yes, I put a few choice comments in my AOL journal after I left (which were also deleted)

Just make sure you document all conversations with them. Get names, numbers, etc. They don't take too kindly to people who want to leave.

My brother had AO-HELL for about three months a few years back. When he cancelled - it took them 8 months before they stopped taking money out of his acount every month. And another two months for them to give it back.

I canceled my CC that they used to pull the money out of my account, and I'm not getting a new one untill I know they have removed me from their data banks. :hitout:
