Bush Pulls Top Bodyguard From Scuffle
SANTIAGO, Chile - President Bush (news - web sites) stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. The incident happened after Bush and his wife, Laura, had just posed for pictures on a red carpet with the host of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (news - web sites) summit, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife, Luisa Duran.
As Bush stepped inside, Chilean agents closed ranks at the door, blocking the president's agents from following. Stopping for more pictures, Bush noticed the fracas and turned back. He reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum and into the building.
The president, looking irritated, straightened his shirt cuffs as he went into the dinner. The incident was shown on APEC (news - web sites) television.
"Chilean security tried to stop the president's Secret Service from accompanying him," said White House deputy press secretary Claire Buchan. "He told them they were with him and the issue was resolved." <end>

What the hell are you talking about, the man grew up in Houston. "Milli Vanilli" of politics? How clever -
I suppose the "banana in the tailpipe" reference was taken from the venerable movie, Beverly Hills Cop, in which, Eddie "Man Humping" Murphy makes fun of another black cop for sounding too stereotypically white and womanish. Boy it's funny how a dose of irony can really add levity to an otherwise pointless thread.

I don't know where you got your info, but this is directly from http://www.whitehouse.gov/president/gwbbio.html: "President Bush was born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, and he grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas."

Out of curiosity, how on Earth did you arrive at that conclusion? Is the concept of mutual dissimilarity that foreign to you???

Yeah, And I'm princess grace. Don't believe everything that the public affairs people put out about their candidate. Do some research. He moved to Texas in order to meet the requirements to start a political career from there. It amazes me that you nutjobs will believe every good thing you hear about gw and totally ignore the facts.

Look asshole - I typed "George Bush Bio" in the search line of googles webpage, and arrived at aforementioned site. Just why in hell would they lie about where he was born and raised? - to cover up the fact that he secured some sort of political career in Texas? I swear woman, if dumb had a face, you'd bare it, and if ignorance were a disability, you'd get the full pension.
It amazes me that you nutjobs will believe every good thing you hear about gw and totally ignore the facts.
How the hell is GW being from Texas a good thing? Look, I love Texas and all, being that half of my family has lived there for generations, my parents met there, and it generally kicks ass, but how does my believing he lived there, a) make me a "nutjob", and b), contribute to me "ignoring facts"?

WOW. Y'all must be really bored to be arguing about this crap. I hate to say it, but i'm starting to miss the election, except for the commercials, media coverage, candidates, debates, and the voting parts.

Yeah, at least people were arguing about something of substance.
