[b:8217b3a8a0]*I got this story out of my local newspaper. Macy's parents live very near to me. It doesn't say why he died. Just made it sound like he'd been sick for a while--

Richard McIntyre, 74, father of Grammy Award-winning pop singer Macy Gray, died Thursday following an illness.

Macy Gray, whose real name is Natalie McIntyre, won a Grammy Award in 2000 for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Female Artist.[/b:8217b3a8a0]

Strange that her name changed so drastically. I think her real name or her original name is just as pretty. For me I think it would be hard to get use to be called something different. Then again I've always liked my real name. It's a popular Irish last name.
