Hi, I was wondering if the peircing in my ear lobe will close if I don't wear any earrings for a while. One of my piercings is stretched out, and I want it to close up so I can repierce it, but I've heard that the hole will never close in the lobe after so long. It's been about 6 years since it was first pierced. Will the hole close now?

From about the age of 15 until about the age of 18, I had my ear pierced. About 3 months after I removed the earring, the hole had healed and I would have had to re pierce the ear to get the earring in.
