here are a few kerryisms. bushisms are mis spoken words and the like, kerryisms show his true liar self for what it is. bushisms are goofy and dumb, kerryisms are dangerous and show just what kind of man he really is.

Today talking to supporters in florida

"you can walk out of here today and vote, and tomorrow, and I want you to do it everyday until the election"

is he advocating his supporters vote more then once!?!?

Last night, in refrence to a question about how someone analyzed the military apptitude tests of Bush and Kerry and determined Bush had a higher IQ

"I dont know how they would know that, I havent released my records"

LMAO, I remember distincly kerry and his web site saying he had already released all of his records!!! what a flake.

Oh yeah I got some of those in my answering machine...of course the Bush ones were MUCH funnier...

For example

In my, uh, state of the, uh, state of the union, I um, uh, speech to the nation or whatever you want to call it...

I ask Americans to give 4,ooo years...I mean 4,000 hours...over the rest of your life! That's all I ask!

The following one is a bit wrong...oh well: Blah blah weapons of mass production...Some people say we are going to war in Iraq. We are not going to war in Iraq! I don't want to go to war in Iraq! But I get to decide, though, not you!

By the way, I just got my Vanessa Carlton piano music book in the mail! Yay!:D

He's a great one, right from his website:

"Protect Our Borders And Shores
Today, our borders, our ports, and our airports are not as secure as they must be. John Kerry and John Edwards will make our airports, seaports, and borders more secure without intruding upon personal liberties."

Ah, I get it, you're here solely to piss conservatives off? Would that not make you a troll? And thus, worthy of being banned?

The purpose of this forum is to provide a medium for DEBATE, not "pissing people off" (though that often occurs, incidentally). If you have nothing to add to this forum other than "pissing people off", please do all of us a favor and leave right now. Otherwise, we're glad to have you here to DEBATE.

What? Since you aren't paying attention, some of the Bushisms are not just "mis-spoken words"...some are just his true stupidity or dishonesty coming out, like his inability to explain what "sovereignty" is, or saying "OB-GYNs want to practice their love women". Or in the debate when he said he "never said he wasn't worried about Osama"?

But on the goofy side, how about last week when Bush said "we will NOT have an all volunteer army"...then the crowd had to correct him.

Or how about this visual "Bushism":

Maybe we're all being a little too hard on reven. She's only 14, and on top of that fact, she posts like it. It amazes me that most young members on this forum are as bright as they are, but this little girl should probably just stick to playing with her piano book, and leave the debating to the brighter, more mature youngsters and the adults. Sorry, reven, but you kind of deserve this little rip. JMO.

Prae - I can't believe you said that. The best way to learn to debate is to try doing it, and continue practicing it. This is a great place for young people to learn how to back up their beliefs and test their own thinking skills. I'll bet no one on this board was great at it at the age of 14.

I also am surprised that you would say something so cruel and rude to a 14 year old. Would you be that nasty to a child in person or is it the annonimity that the web provides that makes you bold enough to be rude.

Thanks Echo. I can take it, though.

1) Please stop Prae. You're making me blush.

2) She's an it..I mean a he..I mean a... yeah a he. Blah..:o

Quick Edit: I just noticed this. Right when I posted my bushisms, everyone starts attacking me. Hmmm I wonder why that is? Oh and don't start your whining about how I'm a stupid 14 year old...

That really wasn't my point, Echo, but whatever. Being ripped on builds character. :)

Are you seriously suggesting that I was being nasty? I was giving her a rather firm, but appropriate, piece of advice. That's all.

the young kids on this site are a bit like Jon Stewart. they want us to take them seriously and take into account who they are and what they do at the same time. Jon Stewart wants to be simply a comedian following a crank calling puppet show and give us a civics lesson all at once. Well, it cant be both ways. you are either an member of the board who can get called out just as much as the rest of us or you are a kid who needs someone to protect them. (borg, bliblob, homer, this does not mean you, as you have never once tired to use your age to get sympathy or a free pass for anything)

First of all, I never told Echo to protect me. S/He did it on his/her own free will. I thank him/her for that. And typing him/her is really getting annoying...

First off, Jon Stewart ripping the two dickheads on Cross Fire a new a-hole was possibly the most brutal, viscious thing I have ever seen. He uses sarcasm and humor as his medium for displaying politics. So what? He never asks to be taken seriously and is amazed that he is. And if you ever get a chance to see him with the "Sarcasm Gloves" off, listen up. Just because he mocks your precious Bush doesn't necessarily make him wrong. Hell, most of the time (Like Dubbya's "A guy who does things on false info isn't worthy of the Presidency" comment a few days ago) pretty much mock themselves. He's just there to laugh along.

Second off, don't diss the youngins here, as I seriously thought you were 15 when I got here and was utterly shocked when I discovered you were a grown adult.

you need to relax. I watch the jon stewart show, I know him as well as you do. I loved him in Half Baked. as far as ripping on bushie, what do I care, its common among media elites to rip republicasn as inferior dumb shits. does it make them look smart? no, it makes them look like assholes, kind of like you.

There is a big difference between the Jon Stewart we see on Comedy Central and the Jon Stewart we saw on Crossfire. The Jon on the Daily show is purposely an asshole, purposely misleads, and purely a comedian. When he went on Crossfire his entire point was to change what he did. When he was there he tried to make a point, he can't do something like that on Comedy Central, he wasn't looking for sympathy nor was it an excuse when he mentioned he followed puppets. He gave them a reason why he was different there than on Crossfire. He mentioned it many times, Crossfire is supposed to debate news, the Daily show is to make fun of it. Stewart is hilarious on comedy central, but he was trying to be serious off his show when he visited. So he doesn't want to be a comedian and a political comentator all at once, just in the proper setting.

That works for me, but don't call him on being a comedian and serious at the same time, he's not.
