Game determines election results (http://www.jsonline.com/packer/news/oct04/269957.asp)

Over the past 17 presidential elections, the outcome of Redskins football games has correctly predicted the winner every time. If Washington has lost its final home game leading into the election, the incumbent party has lost the White House. If the Redskins won, the incumbent party has stayed in power.

Since I'm not voting for either of those clowns, I fully plan to cheer for the Packers on Sunday. :)

I will also be cheering for the Packers, but then I have cheered for the packers since I was nine and Vince Lombardi was the new coach.

Yeah, that's right Imagineer, you're from Wisconsin. Ever go to Lombardi's restrauant? Good food.

Never been there. Have eaten at the Left Guard however. I reccommend it highly.

49ers baby!

I'll take the 49ers in Lambeau Field any cold Monday night in the rain! Or even better, a cold Sunday afternoon in January. It must have hurt the last 15 years or so watching the Packers beat you.

ya ya, it sucked. it seems the two teams that seem to always beat us are the packers and the vikings, although we did beat the pack in the playoffs a few years back, that was sweet.

I heard about this on Bob and Tom this morning.

I was wondering, what happened on the years when there wasn't an incumbent?

I figure the Packers had some success coming. I was a fan all through the seventies and eighties as well, and I can relate to watching a losing team. The Packers, for a couple of decades there, were at best a .500 team. The front office and coaching was pathetic. It wasn't until we hired Mike Holmgren and stole the 49ers offense that we became good. The true steal however was trading a first round draft choice to Atlanta for their third string quarterback, Brett Farvre. Boy did they get took.

In Wisconsin, even in the Republican areas, everyone will be rooting for the Packers. Politics are politics, but the Packers are a religion. You don't root against the Packers ever in Wisconsin!!!

Also, by the way, "After further review, the Bears still suck".

The only thing this means is that Bush will lose. Maybe someone besides Kerry will win - like the Libertarians!

But the most important thing for this country's future is that the Packers are back to .500.

I have to agree that the Packers getting back to .500 is cause for celebration. Now if Farvre's hand can get healthy during the bye week... we shall see how it goes the rest of the way.

Ah, no body likes to see streaks broken. And some streaks will never be broken.....Jumpin Joes 56....Gagne's 70-plus saves in a row....and hopefully this redskins thing.

Did you not notice that those streaks were broken? Joltin' Joe's streak ended at 56...Gagne's streak ended at 84...you just proved Trav's point, you ass! ;) Those were records...

But. This streak will hopefully continue another four years, at least...

Looks like the streak did end after all.

But, the streak of whichever candiate sold the most Halloween masks did not.

Although Bush's mask sold a little more, I think the John Kerry mask has the most fame:

LOL, that was good jere. Another record that fell this season was the 49ers NFL record for consecutive games without a shut out. it had been since the 70's since the last time the 49ers were shut out. man we suck this year! :(
