With the United States unhappy with their supposed allies within the U.N. and also fighting a war in Iraq and Afghanistan, do you really believe Iran is all that afraid of France and Germany?

Russia has its own internal problems right now so they are not likely to support any kind of action against Iran right now.

Iran knows that now is the time to act, knowing that no country will have the means to take action. This is time for them to make a move.

dont count out israel, they have the most to lose if a nuclear iran becomes reality, and they will do waht they did to iraq in the 80's, they will bomb their nuclear plants with air force.

Man, if that were to happen it would stir up a huge hornets nest. I guess if this report is correct we'll soon find out how commited we all are to our policies regarding the middle east. If Iran has decided to go nuclear no matter the consequences, it may soon be all out war.

better all out war now then nuclear blackmail later. once they ahve the nukes, its to late, see N Korea. everyone says "why dont you attack N Korea, tehy have nukes" no shit!! thats why we dont attack. bunch of geniuses out there on the left. a little know part of that report the US weapons inspectors relased recently was that saddam had definate plans to reinstate his WMD program. it was in hibernation, not dead.

what the left is doing by saying that travh, is calling the president on his word. i mean, that was the initial reason for being in iraq. its not that we are asking, its rhetorical. having plans to build them doesnt sound like " imminent danger" or could be ready in an hour" as the president says.....travh, you wont make people look like fools if you stick to the facts of what transpired. bush says he HAS them, not that he had plans.......he didnt say that saddam could be ready to use them in 2 months......he said minutes

Israeli military officials said Tuesday that the Jewish state will receive nearly 5,000 smart bombs, including the 500 one-ton bombs that can destroy two-yard-thick (two-meter-thick) concrete walls.

In 1981, Israel bombed Iraq's nuclear reactor before it could begin operating

"If a day comes when the world of Islam is duly equipped with the arms Israel has in possession, the strategy of colonialism would face a stalemate because application of an atomic bomb would not leave any thing in Israel but the same thing would just produce damages in the Muslim world", Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani told the crowd at the traditional Friday prayers in Tehran.

What a brilliant conclusion you've come to Trav.

When one looks at the recent events in Iraq and North Korea, it's not hard to come to the conclusion that while the U.S. stated that it attacked Iraq because they were attempting to aquire nuclear weapons, the U.S. did not attack North Korea because they allready have them. 6-18-04

a little know part of that report the US weapons inspectors relased recently was that saddam had definate plans to reinstate his WMD program. it was in hibernation, not dead.

What would you recommend we do to keep Iran from aquiring nukes?

Not some politically correct kumbaya lesson, what was the real lesson? the real lesson is to the people of america. we have people in position to make sure things like this dont happen. they failed us. there has been reports that have been ignored by our own, and a lot of fishy stuff leading up to it. i believe that with our intel, we could have and should have caught that. not bushs fault. but guys taking lessons to ONLY fly and not land.? days before it happened, intel told the admin that the terrorist were planning to use PLANES !? we had and have enough intel to catch that shit.......the lesson : dont take ANY info lightly, because once they know we dropped our guard, its on . especially if the GUYS WERE RIGHT HERE IN THIS COUNTRY ! MOST SAUDI ! SAUDI'S SUPPORT TERRORIST ! those factors alone say that we are in the wrong place, and if we dont take the lessons learned from this, with out the bullshit lies of saddam hussein, this will happen again. the lesson to the average joe, stop taking a polititians word as if he were god. these guys lie ! thats what they are , professional liars. when they are not straight up with us.....get rid of them, thats what WE THE PEOPLE means.....and im not just talking about bush, if we look at this election with a clear eye, both of these guys act like children, they will say anything, or do anything to get elected.......that alone is scary......be honest with ourselves, if we didnt know either one of these guys ( and we dont ) we would think that they were to childish too run THE MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD !!!you see, to me, i sit on this forum and see that there are a lot of intelligent people in here . now, think about what politics would be if that were applied. now polititians have to be str8 up or they're fired. coming into a job like that will make someone try and be honest. but they flipped it on us. when we meet polititians, we act as if they are a celebrity or something, but they wouldnt even have a job if it were'nt for you. they have us bicker over race and economic status, as they bounce checks and go through scandal after scandal. and we justy fight each other to hide THEIR LIES ? that makes sense. once people think in terms of politics as to what will make this country stronger and richer , if i may say...keep america in mind, but sending jobs over seas is not gonna help. WE NEED TO SMARTEN UP

Hello Korg,

Nice, well thought out post. It would be nice to have an honest president but how could an honest man be all things to all people? An honest man would only appeal to a small group of citizens. Maybe he could run for Mayor, or city counselman.

When Gore and GWB were running, I heard them both say things that made me not want either one, so on election day, I just said eney, miney, mo, GWB gets my vote. Bush won but since 9/11 I have gained great faith in eney, miney, mo.

Once I was a democrat but now I am a republican.
