Hello Folks,

Here I'd like to ask you:
Which music do you listen to whenever you're down?

Some people calm down themselves by classic others by blues...etc..Different people-different listening

Thanks

Happy and celebratory mood - Classic rock
Calm mood: classical
Crusing on the road - oldies from my youth 50-60-70's
relaxing - blues
goofing around and being silly - country (easy to make fun of)

I had a man tell me once that he listened to both kinds of music. Country and western. lol

It depends for me. Sometimes when I am down I will listen to oldies because I remember listening to them as a kid and it takes me back to a better time and gets my mind of my troubles. Listening to depressing music only magnifies the problem for me.

For calming myself down - Classic
For relaxing - Blues
For crazy mood - Rock
For funny mood - Country and Rock'n roll
For extraordinary mood - New Age

I listen to all music but lately I've been enjoying Italian music because I was just over there for a month this summer. I especially like Andrea Bocelli, who is coming out with a new album on November 9th according to a coworker at universal. Apparently he's doing a duet with Gypsy Kings! Check him out if you are ecletic and like pop, opera and world music all in one artist. http://www.andreabocelli.com

Ahhh lets see, i've not made a note on what is my favourate. i enjoy almost any sound with a good melody, from Rock, classics to Thechno. But i bet u i have favourates Blues, soul, country and hip hop. I see music a lauguage that's best understood when sang well!

yes you can....

i notice that people who LOVE and obsess about rap are normally criminals, talk like shit, and are shady people who you can't trust.

people who obsess over greatfui dead/folk rock smoke weed, think everything is "cool man", and dress in tie-dye

people who obsess over heavy rock usually have the wacked out hair, peircings and tattoos EVERYWHERE, and black t shirts and pants

.....notice a trend?

as f'd up as it may be...bands control some people. The people love the music so much that they take who the people are and try to emulate them, idolizing and obsessing over people who have no business being idolized. Most are just dirt bags who happen to get radio play.....its sad to see.

Most of the rap-loving people I see are middle- to upper-class white suburban kids.

Seconded. Though not "most"..."half" perhaps. The other half are the stereotypical black kids who drive twenty-year-old GM automobiles with sound systems worth more than the car itself and spinners. Not to mention gold teeth.

My question is why the hell anybody would want such expensive sound systems? Modern music is so damn distorted at higher volumes that's it's pointless. Wait, no it's digital now, it's not just distorted, it's completely clipped... Sounds like shit, obliterates your eardrums, and sounds like shit.

Somehow, complete bass = music.

I'd probly put some speakers in my car to increase the base a bit, but nothing to sound like a distress signal from 30 miles away. Most of my friends have systems like that in their cars, but I find that the older I get, the less and less I want one.

My dad was an audiophile - a trait which I inherited. (i.e. I'm a snob) As a result I can't listen to music unless the treble and bass levels are actually equal.
