this always makes me break back into baseball and watch. I love watching Bosox vs. yanks....i sooo hope boston takes down N.Y., the team whose payroll exceeds bill gate's earnings.

My favorite team again did not come close to making the playoffs. The Detroit tigers.
Out of the teams that are in the playoffs, I would like to see the red sox win. They haven't won in a very long time.

At least they had a stronger representation in the MLB this year, compared to last year.

Considering they almost broke a record last year for most losses, they obviously couldn't get any worse. This year, they had a pretty good team, but injuries to key players is what really hurt them. Alec Sanchez, Rondell White, Carlos Guillen were all injured at the end of the season.

No one is even giving them a chance to beat Boston. But as i said on another post, thats ok. Its the Yankees and their fans against the world. If they do win it all, it will only make it that much sweeter.

Of course some of us are for the cards. I know I am. I am enjoying what is turning out to be a good series. At first I thought it was going to be short, I love a good fight.
Did I hear correctly that the Yanks won a game at something like 19 to 8? That sounds more like batting practice than a game. What is the largest lead a team has ever won by, I wonder? Does anyone have an idea? Regular season or post-season doesn't matter, what was the biggest slaughter?

19-8 hurt, they call it the "boston massacre" lol
not as bad as when the tribe beat the yankees 22-0 this year.
i stayed up last night to see the 14th inning RBI single of David Ortiz....my only question is.....DO YOU BELEIVE???? RED SOX IN SEVEN?????
i sure hope so

As much as I hope the Sox beat the living hell out of those damned Yanks, I think the Yanks, with their home crowd behind them, will win Game 6...unfortunately...:(

Boston has Schilling and Pedro, but during this series, there offense hasn't been there. I think Boston has a good chance if their offense can play the way they did during the regular season.

Since Schilling's back tonight, we'll have to see if he can hold off the yankees offensive and maybe pull it to an unbelievable game 7.

Well.. it looked like blood on the close up of Scheffields ankle..
I haven't read the specifics about the problem... but... from the sounds of it he's taking a chance playing. He must want this really bad.
And the offense definately needs to quit fumbling out there and get focused. Every time I see Manny ... I want to dump a tub of ice water on him to shock him awake. He's playing like he doesn't have a care in the world. Did someone die and make him rich?

It will be interesting to see what happens in game 7 tonight. The Cardinal's and the Astro's will be going itno game 7 as the cardianls beat the Astro's 6-4 in 10 innings.

Since we're on the subject, what do you think will be the bigger story, the BoSox amazing comeback, or the Yankees unbelievable collapse?

ARGH!!! Learn how to use apostrophes, please!
The Cardinals will win. They have home field advantage, momentum, and a better team. Though...my last prediction (BoSox lose in Game 6) did not come true...so we'll see.

If it had been anyone but the Red Sox, the Yankees collapse. But Boston getting to the series with a chance to beat the curse is bigger news.
