I also posted this in the politics forum. Here, check this out :)

Did you know that

1. The Garden Of Eden was in Iraq.
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq.
6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh, which is in Iraq.
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
10. Amos cried out in Iraq.
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq.
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)
14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
17. The wise men were from Iraq.
18. Peter preached in Iraq.
19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq.
And you probably have seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, this is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means "between the two rivers," more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means "country with deep roots."
Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.
No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated with it than Iraq.
And also...This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle, Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)-
Koran (9:11) "For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome eagle. The wrath of the eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair, still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace."
(NOTE THE VERSE NUMBER-9:11) Hmmmmmmmmm!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How does this all make you feel?

Do you agree or disagree with this?

If so or if not, tell us how you feel about all of this and why. :)

Like I replied to the post in politics.
The Bible written on one general area is more support to me that it was written by men for men without godly intervention.

Well Dunkirk, I'd say that was an absolutely astounding piece of Quranic prophecy...if it were true...

From Snopes.com:

No, this isn't a legitimate quotation from the Quran (or Koran), the sacred text of Islam. The chapter and verse citation quoted above is a leg-pull, an obvious play on the USA's (the Eagle) launching of military action against Afghanistan and Iraq (the "lands of Allah") in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks on America organized by Osama bin Laden (the "son of Arabia awakening a fearsome eagle"). That the chapter and verse selection match the date of the terrorist attacks (9:11) is another giveaway to the joke.

Depending upon which translation of the Quran one uses, the section corresponding to chapter 9, verse 11 actually reads something like this:

But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.

Heres a few bible verses you may find interesting (and there is no leg pull about this.)

Found in Revelation Chp. 18"And he cried mightily, with a loud voice, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirt...

The kings of the Earth who commited fornication and lived luxirously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning.

Standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying "Alas, Alas, that great city of Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come."

And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one will buy their merchandise."

This tells of the fall of Iraq. The hiding of Saddam Hussain. And the failing economy. All happening right now as we are war with Iraq.

Searching thru a lot of information of which some says the old testament agrees with is that Babylon "fell" around 500 B.C.

This is a prophecy fulfilled in the 18th chapter of Revelation. I doubt the chances that it was fulfilled a meer 400 or so years after the author wrote Revelation.

Actually, it tells of the fall of Babylon. If you want to think of the "great city" as being Baghdad that's fine, but Baghdad has been sacked many times, including by the Mongols, who went in and killed every living thing and then torched the place.

I thought God wrote the Bible. Are you doubting that God could fortell the future, whether it was 400 or 2000 years away?

Absolutely not Lionel.

But Revelation is a book dealing with the end times. Nearly 1500 years have passed sense then.

Given the concept of time is differnet, so I am not completly ruling it out, but I find it unlikely.

Dunkirk101, all the above statements about Iraq are true. However, I was very disturbed when I read the comment inserted about the Koranic verse.

Speaking as a muslim myself, I have to tell you that that translation is not true at all.
I was actually surprised to read that, and went to look for a Koran and read the verse. It's translation has nothing to do with what you posted.
Vilepagan, the translation that you put in is 100% true. That's the true translation.
Just thought :) that needed to be cleared.

If you are saved by Christ, ausweiss, you have nothing to be scared of.

I know, and I am a huge lover of hrist and all, but it seems so unreal to have stuff like that written in the Bible happen in real life. I mean, whew!!

All and all, do I think I am ready for Judgment Day? Yeah? Because I have n undying love for Christ...

Thanks bud...
