View Full Version : How Cincinnati is going to screw up the presidential election

Last week rising GOP party star and Hamilton County (Cincinnati) prosecutor Mike Allen had to come out and admit to an adulterous affair with one of his subordinates. He resigned his post as GWB's SW Ohio campaign chair and decided not to attend the RNC as a delegate, but he is clinging to his office at the moment. Now the Democrats are working on mounting a write-in campaign for prosecutor (they usually don't even bother contesting it, so they didn't get anyone on the ballot and now it's too late). Ballots with write-in candidates on them have to be checked to record their choice and to make sure that they didn't vote for prosecutor twice - once with a punch and once with a write-in. The checks have to be done before they can be run through the automatic ballot readers, so obviously this is going to massively slow the results from Hamilton County. Which is one of the most populous and most Republican counties in what is supposed to be the key state in the election and the one that no Republican has ever won the election without. It may be a long Tuesday night in November.

I'm glad that at least it was "screwed up", pun intended, by a Republican. :D

Ironically right around the time the "why are democrats the only ones that commit adultry in office?" thread was posted.

The fine people of Ohio get what they deserve if they vote for bush again.
I heard that state lost 200,000 jobs. There should be no doubt about who they should vote. Geeesh, this isn't rocket science.

Same goes for Pennsylvania.
I try to tell that to people here in Kentucky....but theyve all been living in poverty for like 200 years, lol, so there isnt much need in discussing economics with them.

listen to you guys...geez.
What i get from you guys is....
A. Bush enjoys taking jobs from people and hates the middle class
B. Kerry is the ultimate savior and will do everything right.
have you looked at kerry's record?
higher taxes on the middle class, NOT voting for tax cuts on the middle class. What a crock...the very people who vote for Kerry are being lead on by a false promise that kerry will help them out....but history says otherwise.
Lets do a little common sense thinking here.........
economy went down after 9-11....bad economy equals less jobs......so YEESSSS there ARE less jobs, but its funny how there is no mention how the economy is on its way back up and more jobs are being available.....

Decka, Opening your eyes and listening to the middle and lower classes will help you to see the truth. Don't believe the rhetoric coming from the White House. Listen to the people. The White House will only tell you what they want you to hear about jobs and the economy. The people will tell you about being out of work, lowering their standards of living, not having decent health care, etc.
If you are truly interested in what is happening in this country listen to the average people, not the corporations and not the White House.

So you're saying that 9-11 has nothing to do with the decline in the economy? Its what im getting....and if thats true its a bit off in my opinion

Drive until you're right next to the WLW tower - that's where I live.

We were in Northern Kentucky for a Marching Band Competetion, and were supposed to be going to Buttermilk Pike in Florence to eat.....then decided, nah Cincinatti will have better choices....so we get just across the bridge, and in no time was lost.
I drove all under the bridge down there, and eventually came out passed the Cincinnatti Museum and Logan High School....and somehow got back to 75.

In every war, we’ve managed to create jobs. Scapegoat’s are not good, Decka.
