......maybe mass-hallucinations was the BIG PROBLEM (http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=SRTIGERFORCE/), during 'Nam!!! :hitout:

I don't recall any Rush talking points on this topic so there is little to no chance any of the wingers will debate you on this topic. In fact, I doubt many of them have the reading skills to get through the article(s). They only argue what Rush, Sean and Bill tell them to argue. Everything else in the world either never happened or is blamed on Clinton's penis.

ya, Kerry and one unit called tiger force is the entire US Miltary in vietnam  we know there were attrocities in vietnam, there are attrocities in all wars. kerry said they were wide spread and systematic. on eunit of one brigade and John kerry admitting to commiting war crimes doesnt prove anything ewxcept you hope to capitalize on the deaths of others.

Hey.....you wanna (all-of-a-sudden) flip-flop on the atrocities-trip, knock yourself out.

What does matter is that you still support someone who's done zip (as President).....except start a war.

Yeah........let's stay the course (in this oil-war)......as-long-as someone else is doin' all the dyin', and the short-term profits are rollin' in..........along with the bodies.....

As we're talking, our troops are committing atrocities in Fallujah. Reports of dozens of innocent women and children being killed in the bombings.

The best part is this ... CNN and FOX are now calling it 'friendly fire' when we take out civilians.

so we are jsut suppose to never fire at people trying to kill us becasue they hide among civilians? you know there is a reason they hide among civilians dop, maybe if you think long and hard about it you can figure it out.

I was stationed at a hospital in Japan durring the Vietnam war. I was told first hand about the atrocities by the soldiers that were there. What Kerry said he was told are the same things that I was told by various soldiers.

There were atrocities on both sides. There are atrocities in all wars.

Anyone who doesn't believe that atrocities happen in war is living in a dream world. Get real. War is an ugly, dirty, nasty business. It is not the great, wonderful and heroic thing that old movies and this chickenhawk administration would like you to think it is.

The guys that started this war have no idea what it is like to be under fire. They all chickened out and took the easy way around serving their country. They have no business making decisions that send young men and women to their deaths.

sorry, but I dont believe soldiers in vietnam were somehow more evil and sinister then soldiers who serve now. yes, there are atrrocities in war, yes there are crazys in wars who commit attrocities for the fun of it, but if you are still implying that there was a systematic proccess of torture, rape and murder as some US Army policy I have to disagree with you. I know war is ugly, as do all soldiers who have served. I find it funny that of all the talk of chicken hawks sending men to fight their wars and and all that stupid crap the military and the guys actually fighting are still all on the side of the chickenhawks. maybe all of you should go back to the 60's were backstabbing and treason were in style, it doesnt seem to carry any weight in this day and age.

What made the 'Nam vets appear more sinister was the media. It was the first war Walter Cronkite would tell you about every night with dinner. It was also the first war that society really protested. The United States was in one helluva social turmoil on other issues - civil rights, racial equality, & the Great Society to name but a few - so Viet Nam was just one more piece of the pie. During WWII & Korea, for example, what folks watched & read about the goings on over there were highly censored and seen only in theaters. There was no television. Newspapers and radio delivered the daily events. The atrocities committed duing WWII is the stuff of legend to this day, some 59 years later. Yes, a lot of bad shit happened in 'Nam. Some I know about first hand, a lot more through various levels of hearsay.
Your boy kerry pissed off a whole lot of 'Nam vets when he sang to Congress. His waving vet status to everyone on the planet has yet to impress one vet that I know - most are still pissed off with him. That's a very large voting block.

Yeah I keep seeing that picture. Looks to me like you can't see the lenses because of the angle of the picture. If the lens covers were on it would be a flat surface and you wouldn't be able to see two little ovals with black in the middle. But I guess people just like to see what they want to see . . .

Maybe you should ask The Pentagon! (http://www.veteransforpeace.org/Pentagon_refuses_102003.htm)

Wait.......nevermind. Oversight of interrogation/intimidation-efforts (in 'Nam) MADE a lot of the present career-positions in The Pentagon.

How artful!!!

You NeoCons are quite adept at changing-the-subject, when you're gettin' your ass kicked (in whatever debate)......which (pretty much) explains Lil' Dumbya's mad-dash from too many debates with John Kerry!!!! :p

Thanks for the little demonstration of your amateurish-tactics!!!

Lets get this straight, you attack my service, tehn when I defend it I am the one changing the subject? shaman, how can you say I was changing the subject when it was you who brought up the whole issue of me faking pictures and claiming I was in some police action? the desperation is not ingrained so deep its part of you.

and korg, kerry is better equiped to talk about vietnam, unfortunatly, we are not fighting in vietnam. shaman is posting articles about vietnam attrocities, he was never even in the military at all
