The real Spin Zone is Fox News
Fox News does nothing to encourage the candidates to get to the real issues that people really care about, but only repeats the Republican rhetoric that has so far dominated this election. How can Senator John Kerry discuss the issues when G W Bush and Karl Rove (his campaign strategist and the person who manages the White House's Office of Political Affairs and Office of Public Liason) continue to release attack ads and refuse to engage in more than three debates? Bush has spent much more time and money talking about Kerry than he has spent talking about his own agenda.
Kerry has focused on the issues during his rallies and in his book "A Call To Service: My Vision for a Better America." Sadly, the media chose to ignore those messages. Instead of using the majority of it's time to criticize John Kerry, Fox News could have mentioned Bush's apparent reluctance to discuss the issues.
Reporting and publishing can only become further politicized as more independent media outlets are bought by conservative corporate interests dedicated to pushing their own agenda. It is widely known that the Fox News Channel, the New York Post, and the Washington Times are nothing but parrots of the ultra-conservative agenda fraudulently posing as legitimate news sources.
Now, I agree with Fox News that it is high time to start discussing the issues, but the Republicans need to begin discussing those issues with the Democrats and the media must report on that discussion in a fair and unbiased manner.
"I don't think you can win it (the war on terrorism)" ~ G W Bush (what a dunce!)
