I didn't watch em, but i heard a sound clip on the radio when the Kerry sisters were Boo'ed out of their misery at the video music awards on mtv. I guess the Last name Kerry isn't too appealing after all to the minorities.

LOL, to minorities? it is funny, and they were up there trying to shush the crowd. people at music awards dont want to hear politics. they didnt pay all that money to go there and get campaign slogans, they went for mindless entertainment and music. I guess they thought since they were democrats they automatically would get a roaring round of applause. welcome to reality.

I actually happened to be watching the MTV video awards when they made their appearance. I was surprised they got the reception that they did. I think the crowd that was there simply wasn't in the mood to hear about politics. It was entertaining nonetheless. And they did try to shush the crowd, which was even more entertaining. The Bush sisters appeared right after they did via video recording. I think MTV is supposed to reshow the awards, if you are interested.

I watched the whole thing. Both sets of girls where equally booed and applauded. I think it was a reaction to the show turning political. People tuned in to watch the music awards, not listen to four political spawns.

From what I heard, the GOP had the Bush twins appear on tape so the booing would be less obvious (because the taped message fills the screen and the crowd noise is turned down. The Dems either didn't think of that or thought they'd be more popular.

I think you're right about the crowd noise being turned down during the tape. The booing was much less obvious during that segment, and I would have thought that surely the Bush girls would have been booed as much, if not more than, the Kerry girls.

Why would they do that when they could just edit out the booing and put in applause? It worked for Hillary.

Dubbya makes people sign an allegiance statement before getting into any of his rallies or town meetings, And his people have turned away individuals for wearing shirts that the bush people don't like?
Doesn't surprise me at all that they had the sound lowered to hide the booing of his daughters.
His versions of free speech and honest and open discussion are a bit one sided. But what else should we expect from a proven liar?

Or maybe MTV just lowered the sound so that the tape could be heard clearly....I doubt that MTV is in cahoots with Bush. But think what you will.

I have little doubt that MTV is rather conservative. However, they wouldn't do something so deliberate. Since most musicians are liberal. I don't watch MTV anways, the music sucks, VH1 is far better, and they're more liberal :D.

Actually, no I didn't.
Is that a joke?
Not really. MTV seems right of center. And far more right than you'd place most music. What else could you say about the great destroyer of music?

I have a feeling that MTV is cool with whatever regime gives them the most liberties. As far as I know, the government hasn't had any beef with them while Bush has been in office. I wouldn't be surprised if they favored him.
Although, Kerry was/is a bassist and had his own band as a young man, so you'd think VH1 and MTV would appreciate that.
