This is something that seems like a really good idea!

It sounds like it could be a good idea, but I don't think it should be an option for violent criminals. Who's to say they don't go out and do the bad things they want anyway. For example, a violent domestic abuser decides they are going to murder their former spouse/significant other then does it. Yes, the beeper will go off and the police will be notified. My question would be what is the response time? Perhaps the deed will have already been done and another person is dead. I think the system could work, but I would rather keep particularly violent criminals behind bars.

Is this something they can remove? I really think they should start putting chips or somehow inject the monitor into these people. If its anything like the house arrest bracelets, they are easily cut off.
