Project vote smart is a citizens group that provides information to help people make an informed choice when they vote. The website is pretty cool and makes for some interesting reading. You can check out all the candidates for President (all 95 of them) and even their postions on various issues if they filled out an NPAT survey.

I don't really know what it means, but I wish the canididates would be required by law to post such information in order to be placed on the ballot. I think it would be an excellent way for citizens to get information on the positions these candidates take on various issues, without all the crap you see in political ads.

I am especially disappointed that neither the Kerry nor Bush filled out the NPAT survey. Perhaps neither of them wanted to put their positions in writing. :D
