Now that September is here, it's time to turn our attention to something really important: college football.
I'd like to know if there are any college football fans out there.
What is your favorite team?
Who will win the BCS this year?
What's the strongest conference?
Got any good picks for any games this week?
Is there anything else you'd like to discuss concerning college football?
If not, I guess it's back to religion and politics.......

Looks like everyone's afraid to debate me on this. :D
At least I won't have to explain how my team got their butts kicked today.:(

Ha... I'll have a go..
Favorite Teams: Notre Dame, Ohio State
BCS Winner: I'm not certain but I'll go ahead and guess Oklahoma.
Strongest Conference: Big 12
Anything Else: Poor Oregon State. That kicker sucked, but they still stuck it to #3.

Favorite team - I usually root for the Gators, and I'm also a big fan of the USF Bulls, a very little-known team in terms of college football.
Who will win the BCS this year - I'm going to have to be a bandwagoner and go with USC.
What's the strongest conference - ACC
Anything to discuss - Not particularly, at the moment.

Favorite team - Iowa Hawkeyes because I've always liked them, and the Iowa State Cyclones, since it's my college. I'm for both, even though ISU isn't all the greatest.
Who will win the BCS this year - I'd like to see LSU repeat, but I kinda doubt that....OU's looking good, but I also like USC as well......one of those three.
What's the strongest conference - BIG XII
Anything to discuss - My cat's name is mittens (Ralph).

I almost just had a heart attack, because I've finally found something BorgHunter and I agree on. The Florida Gators are also one of my favorite teams.
However, my favorite team is the Washington Huskies, which makes me wonder why I chose a duck as a sname. It's gonna be a looooooooong year for Husky fans, judging from Sundays loss to Fresno State.
I too am picking USC to win the BCS. I hope I'm wrong, I'd rather see Oklahoma do it. Look for Cal to upset USC, yet again, this year.
For the past several years, I've thought the Big 12 was the best conference, but the ACC is looking real strong with the new additions.
Basically, I just wanted to see if there are any college football fans out there so that we could discuss any controversial events, such as last year's split championship, that arise.:)

Yeah, that's the one. Of course I could probably say that to anybody and they probably have something similar on their campus.

Big Crimson Tide fan here. We haven't had the best teams the past couple years, but we are going bowling this year. It makes me sick just having to say that. Anyhoo,,, Roll Tide!

I'm a somewhat depressed U.W. Badger fan. We were undefeated and climbing int the B.C.S. until today. Michigain State truly beat us today. Looks like were stuck with the Rose Bowl this year. I had truly hoped for more.

Yep, the Tide may be in trouble. Should be a good game, though.

Iowa State takes on K-State this weekend. ISU's looking to extend its winning streak to 4 and become bowl eligible...something that hasn't happened to us since the Seneca Wallace Days.
As for the Hawkeyes, as confident as they are, will likely get a good test against Wisconsin this weekend, as they're out for blood after their BCS dreams were shattered.
Good luck to all college teams....except those I don't like.:)

And in other "action"
Washington travels to Pullman to battle Washington State in "The Battle to See Who is the Worst Team in the World". Also known as the Apple Cup.
In a game nobody outside of the State (and very few inside of the State) cares about, I predict the 1-9 Washington Huskies will lose the game (and thus, win the title)

Wisconsin needs to win against Iowa this week to go to the Rose Bowl. Also we need Ohio State to beat Michigain. Since the Wisconsin-Iowa game has a late start, the results of Michigain-Ohio State will be known prior to kickoff. If Michigain wins it could be demoralizing. If Ohio State wins, look out Iowa.

Although, I wish I could bring better news....UK fell apart AGAIN against UT in the last quarter and gave the game right back to them.
Three years in a row.

hardest conference: sec, hands down
picks for the week: michigan, syracuse win.
One good week and everyone's jumping on the Syracuse bandwagon!!:p

SEC hands down is the best overall confrence in college football, even though we are on a "down year". Has been for a while now. We just tend to beat up on each other.

i'm glad i can get some support here! you know, if they split the sec up, putting each team in a different conference, come bowl time it'd be mostly sec teams playing.

We here in the great Northwest have waited quite some time for some good news on the college football front.
(Matt Leinert wins Heisman......ho hum....)
Well, it's finally arrived. Tyrone Willingham (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sports/2002117538_willingham13.html) has just been hired as the new head coach of the Washington Huskies.
Considering the disarray of the team of late, this is a far better scenario than I could've imagined.
Lookin' forward to next year (and after the year we've just had, who wouldn't?)
