Zogby (http://www.zogby.com/Soundbites/ReadClips.dbm?ID=9160) is the only poll that counts -- the rest are trash.

He's runs a true poll, not an overnight or daily poll and not an analysis poll.

In '00 he was the only pollster that nailed it right on.

All those polls you list had Bush beating Gore by 5-10 points with just a couple of days before the election. Zogby had it dead even and also mentioned Gore would take the popular vote. You can't call it any closer than that and he does it time and again. That's why people pay for his service -- the others are free cause that's all their worth if even that.

In '00, the other pollsters were off by 5-10 points which in the polling business is totally unacceptable and in the real world no one in any job that misses the mark by that much would still have their job -- it would be grounds for firing. A 3rd grader could guess and come closer than 5-10 points.

i have to disagree with you on that one Lung. I did a HUGE report on the election in 2000 for my senior project....and that included updates on major polls. Bush never had a 5-10 point lead in ANY poll i saw. Gore was up in some and Bush was up in some, it was very close. I think you just like zogby because it actually has kerry winning.

Most polls had Bush clearly ahead and here's the key words "just before the election" as I previously stated. Then on the day before they all adjusted their numbers down to try to line up with Zogby who they knew had the real numbers.

They purposely misled the public in an effort to get bush elected. Their data shows it.

Newsweek and Time both BUSTED for bogus poll -- ROTF

They got their core data from Rasmussen and then massaged the data to create the 11 point lead for bush and released it to the public. Rasmussen, noticing this, outs them and shows the data could only correctly produce a 2 point lead -- never an 11 point lead. Best part is ... Zogby also has a 2 point lead to corroborate the Rasmussen data.

If Newsweek or Time intentionally relased false polling data to the public with the intent to sway an election, they should be facing federal charges and rumor has it, there's a possibility that is exactly what will happen. Stay tuned.

The same thing happened when CLinton got re-elected. Everone knew he was a liar, but he was re-elected anyway.

Echo, if you are going to hate on George W. Bush for "supposedly" lying......than you have to hate John Kerry just as much or ten times more...because Kerry lied UNDER OATH to congress about where he was in cambodia. He also recently lied about his stances on the war, changing them from week to week. He's been called wrong by thousands of Vets in vietnam.....So don't play the hypocracy game.
