Sign the petition to tell Senator Miller to stop disgracing our party and join the Republicans where he belongs.

"Zell Miller was once a centrist Democrat. But, in the past few years, he's
increasingly supported George W. Bush and the Republican agenda in the
Senate. The non-partisan National Journal's 2003 ratings say Zell Miller is more
conservative than 73% of his fellow Senators. In fact, his voting record is
more conservative than 23 Republican Senators"

He won't even caucus with his own party. He has flip flopped over the years on several issues including a woman's right to choose, moving to the right by the day. Who needs Republicans when you have reactionary Democrats like Zell Miller?!

If your party keeps heading to the right, I wouldn't be surprised if we picked up Chafee, Snowe, and Collins too:cool: .

He has shown disloyalty to the party. He must die!!! The last thing this country needs is independent thinkers!!!!

I'm perfectly fine with independant thinkers. My problem is the image he is giving our party. I don't understand why a conservative woudl want to be a Democrat or likewise why a liberal would want to be a Republican. The point of having parties is so that people with similiar beliefs can organize. You are a Democrat becasue you are a liberal/moderate liberal, not because you like donkeys.

The average voter will see Zell Miller and say "look, President Bush is getting support from Democrats" not knowing that Miller votes like a conservative Republican.

Zell has seen the error of his ways, and being a good Christain Southern gentleman, he's trying to bring along some converts as he makes his way down the conservative path.

Or something like that.

He's harmless, he's a shameless shill and fool and he's retiring anyway as already pointed out up thread.

Also, if he were ever to flip -- he'd be instantly neutralized by Chaffee and Snowe.

Yeah, Zell Miller is the only democrat I like. If we keep going to the right, then more people will join us because we actually stand for something. Like personal responsibility and fairness. I would love to have him in the GOP, but he is a democrat and he is proof that democrats are not all gone to the commie side.

Zell Miller is a real hero of our time. This man has moral courage and has the guts to stand up and go against the grain to tell people the truth no matter the consequences.

Hail Zell

4 more years

When did he tell the truth? All he did was list a bunch of things that Kerry voted against (which Cheney was also against) and then he (Miller) lied by saying these votes mean Kerry does not want to protect the country. If you condisder that "heroic" then you've got problems.

Anyone catch the dude (think his name is O'connell) on CSPAN yesterday where he took Zell the Zebra Zealot apart. ROTF.

He called him a LIAR and said it more than once then said the gop should put him back in his straight jacket (which I'm sure they did) and that he was so maniacal that it was reported parents were making their children leave the room during his speech.

Gawd this is funny stuff ... chripes , you can't make this stuff up ... ROTFLMAO

By listing the "bunch" of things - he was indeed telling the truth about Kerrys voting record - was he not?

I'm basically repeating my last post, but he did tell the truth that Kerry voted against those things, but then he lied when he said that those votes mean that Kerry does not want to protect the country. Kerry did not vote that way because he doesn't want to protect the country, he did it because it was at a time (mainly after the cold war) when we did not need many of these items, and Dick Cheney did not want these items either as the Secretary of Defense. So, he was lying.

Very well put. All he was doing was stirring up the crowd. Kinda like in a protest, all the things they say are not 100% true, but they still say them to get people animated.
