Ukraine : 23
Belarus : 15
Kazakhstan : 8
Uzbekistan : 5
Azerbaidjan : 5
Georgia : 4
Latvia : 4
Lithuania : 3

That's more impressive than in the old days when the USSR was obsessed with winning to somehow prove their superiority. To win that many medals with what is probably just a shell of the old training system, and without turning women into men, is pretty good.

I would not be very surprised to learn "they" (at least some ogf them) still use the same tricks than in the past though.
Now it seems China is playing this superiority game. I wonder when they become 1st - with 1.3 billion inhabitants it should be a mater of a few decades.
