I have installed SP2 onto my machine and have not had any problems; however, there are a lot of people who are having problems including lockup. A friend who writes for a local paper has advised that one wait to upgrade XP to SP2 until problems are fixed and programs like games have chance to catch up. I would like to echo my friends statement, wait! In the mean time make sure you have a firewall and an antivirus program, and keep them up to date.

From what I've heard SP2, even though it was delayed, still has some very dangerous exploitable pieces. Your computer really isn't safer. You should use an outdated version of Windows, like me and 2000, or Linux, my other computer. :D
