Its all starting to unravel for the hawk administration. From the continued failure to produce Iraqi Democracy at gun point, to the unrelenting security issues that have plagued the "Coalition Of The Willing's", peace making efforts. The abundance of deceptive tails told by this the most unsuccessful of Presidencies has weaved a web so tangled that the best of the pundits pundit couldn't fabricate a distraction complete enough to prevent us from noticing the incompetence.

Now one of Bush's own, a retiring Republican Congressman Doug Bereuter - senior member of the House International Relations Committee and vice chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, comes out to explain why he disagrees with the Bush administrations assertions to the validity of their pre-emptitory strike in Iraq and why "our country's reputation around the world has never been lower and our alliances are weakened."

The whole story.

how come everytime a republican doesnt agree with bush its in the news? why do you insist that someone disagreeing is the beggining of the end? how do you explain zell miller?

You are correct, Zell Miller is clearly in the ranks of the traitorous. But I didn't suggest that there weren't Democrats who leaned to the right. Fact is, if you research my earlier post I rarely if ever say anything regarding Democrats, positive or negative.

This post, as do most of my post, deal with the demonstrations of incompetence that the Bush administration have routinely made over the past 4 years. It tries to show how, even in this almost dangerously polarized America, the truth is still able to shine through the partisan haze like a beacon of hope to those of us who just want a good government regardless of their party affliation.

And its far from the beginning of the end for the Bush administration, its more like their mid-stream swimming up hill in a pyroclastic flow, its not likely that they will survive the many failures they've created without cheating ( http://bushflash.com/gta.html ) again.

so you specialize in telling half the story? that sounds about right.

Would it be equally newsworthy if there were a Democrat that completely agreed with Bush?

nope, it isnt. everytime mcain speaks up for kerry its page one, Senator Miller of GA sides with bush and its buryed, or he is labeled a traitor. think about it: how many times has a senator denouncing moveon.org been on the news? only once, when kerry did it to try and draw heat off of him, these swiftboat guys come along and senators are all over the place enouncing it on every news show in the country. this is proof of which way the media leans. they are falling all over themselves to find peopel to come on and discredit these swift boat guys. never is there anything about all the democrat attack ads calling bush hitler or saying he was in on 9-11. that is just taken as good old fasion politics. but kerry, he cant be the target of a smear campaign!!! its un american!! what a crock.

"You specialize in telling half the story......"

The story is about a Republican Congressman who's come out and reversed his original belief that President* Bush's decision to leave the fight against Al Qeada and unilaterally start a war of pre-emption against Iraq was correct.

I not only explained the story, gave my opinion on it but also posted a link. And you seem to be of the impression that I'm telling half the story because I've not included an attack on Democrats?

that is correct Obadia. You are giving the impression republicans are running from bush like rabbits from a wild fire, while your failure to even mention anything about the democrats makes them appear rock solid and unified. to the uninformed this is a very misleading piece, especially when being passed off as objective or anything like that.

In all due respect. AllForums is niether a political magazine nor a liberal rag. If my opinion sounds slanted away from the corporately controlled, hawkish, flawed policy makers of the Bush administration, it is because that is how I feel. I never read the rule that suggested that I must balance my opinions of a public figure with a critique of his/her adversary.

To the contrary, the idea of public forums is - I thought - to give people an opportunity to voice THEIR opinion. Mine is that: this President* and his ilk are on thin ice with the American public. No incumbant President with poll numbers as low as this Presidents'* has ever gone on to win re-election (or re-selection).

America can and will do better next time around, not just because I say they see he's failing, but because collectively America is saying it. And this Republican Congressmen, taking the extremely unique step of admiting failure on behalf of his party's leaders is just another example of the breakdown of faith in government that President* Bush has created.

It really doesnt matter anymore, they voted, it happened , and now we have all these politicans saying that they were against it. The war was wholly justified and contrary to what is reported in the media, many Iraqis are happy that we are there. Insurrection is played up and used as an example of what is wrong. Ask any serviceman they will say that they are honored to defend their country and fight for freedom anywhere and everywhere.
