that were James-McGreevey (http://news.google.com/news?num=30&hl=en&edition=us&ie=ascii&q=James-McGreevey) a Republican the media would be on it like the proverbial white on rice, yet the next ex-gov of the Great State of New Jersey get's yet another blow from Charlie and fades out of the spotlight.

I don't think it would have mattered if he were republican. Hurrican Charlie is a lot bigger deal at the moment than a gay politician. He conducted himself very professionally yesterday, and there is nothing else for him to be scrutinized over anymore.

IMO had he been republican, the liberal media would have made this page one for weeks to come.

Just out of curiosity, what more needs to be said about this incident that hasn't already been said?

I've been watching cable news the last few days and every second not spent talking about the hurricane was spent talking about the NJ governor. What really got me though, was last night I was watching O'reilly and after a commercial they had the Fox News Break
So the anchor had a little piece about the New Jeresy governor and what he did. It was all fair and true. No complaint from me. Then she goes "more about this on the O'reilly factor". What they are doing is mixing real news with the opinion of Bill O'reilly. (Actually it wasn't even O'reilly. O'reilly was off so he had some other guy hosting that was more conservative than him!) Of the talking heads on FNC want to be biased, fine, but don't mix your opinions with the news for gods sake!

Although I didn't follow this real close, it appears McG was setup by his secret lover -- probably a rove plant in drag. LOL.
And Charlie didn't preempt the Olympic womens beach volleyball. Holly McPeak and Elaine Young defeated the Norwegians 21-14.

Well of course not....US WOMENS VOLLEYBALL IS THE COOOOOOLEST.
*waves little flag that says Go USA* YAY!
you know what the problem is with that ? he's not the only gay in office, as a matter of fact, he's far from it. do you guys remember when the guys in the senate or the cabinet had the issue with the pageboys.......all gay.....republican and democrat..having sex with the pageboys...hey, believe me, guys were quaking in their boots when this guy came out.....there are a lot of rumprangers in office. this guy isnt the first, and wont be the last. this is not a democrat or republican problem, neither group wants this to go any further.......i'll tell you whats scary, no one knew that the guy he picked for homeland security, had NO experience for the job. but we wouldnt have found that out if he hadnt come out ! i believe that its become a patronage job. and i dont think he was the only governor shamming us. i bet if you investigate a lot of the guys in that post, republican or dem, it will scare the shit out of you.....im sorry to say, i dont think it would have made a difference what party this guys in, NO ONE wants to make this a subject of ammunition........guys will be outted like janet jacksons titty

Bring them out. Every goddamn one of them. These are the clowns keeping the crazy laws on the books, making themselves rich at our expense and answering to no-one unless skeletons are exposed.

he is using being gay as an excuse. he is hiding something else. we have heard from the left that sex doesnt matter, affairs dont matter, we also hear that coming out of the closet is a courageous thing that deserves respect and admiration. Claiming to resign based on these 2 things stinks to hoigh heaven. whats he really hiding? how come not one person has comeforward and made a big deal that he has to resign for being gay? now all of a sudden being gay is a bad thing? WTF?

He resigned for cheating on his wife. Claiming what he did was wrong and unexcusable and he no longer deserves to head a state.

WTF? travh, my post explains it. did you ever watch the program on espn about the football team, and the one guy was gay and he was trying to hide it, but his lover decided to out him at the football practice in front of everyone....im not gay, but i couldnt even imagine what that fool was facing with his team mates....now, this man was about to be outted, and he's got a whole wife and kids, AND SOME GAY GUY IS GONNA TELL THE WORLD IM GAY !? so he pull a bush.....preemptive strike. he beat him to the punch......i think that with gays, unless you out yourself, there is some shame, so he doesnt want to be outted. he had no choice, and in some cases its still taboo, like sports, politics, ........but, how come no ones talking about the guy he hired that wasnt qualified ? i mean, not even your republicans . you know why ? because its a patronage job, just something you give your friends........and everybody's doing it....homeland security MY ASS ! thats what everyone should be talking about
