In my 15 years of existence I’m bound to have a good moment…or two. But honestly, to many of you this may seem irrelevant…but it was very important to me. It was the first time I went to a local club called The Escape. In it you were around people who accepted anyone no matter what. A place of comfort…and a place to finally be yourself.
It is an all age club in Portland, which consists of homosexuals, heterosexuals, bisexuals, transvestites, and everything else imaginable. Most people there are 18 and over, but it does cater to the youth. It gave me the feeling of, it’s okay to be me…and not hide away for eternity. It was a release to the constant pain I dealt with in my day-to-day life.
I just remember walking into the club, and thinking…wow, this place is so wonderful. And every time I go, it brings back that feeling. As of now it would have to be one of, if not the best feeling/moment of my life.

The best moment of my life was closing on my first home. Then I realized how in debt I was.

Delivering my son and watching him take his first breaths has to rank right up there as one of the most memorable times of my life. He's now a young man of 22.
Being the guest of honor at the parade given on the occasion of my retirement from the U.S. Army was pretty special as well.
Closing a mortgage has always made my hand tremble. Simply signing my name to that much debt freaks me out.

Falling in love...being anxious for the phone to ring...gazing into someone's eyes and seeing your joy mirrored there...the feeling that the rest of the world is non-existent when you're with that person...that's the best...
