We need a standing army. As long as countries have the capacity to do us harm, we can't sit back and preach what hippies do, that violence is not necessary, that we can all live in peace and harmony forever. And even if what you say is true, that we have a powerful militia that can protect us. (Bullshit) What if the countries in the middle east group together and deny western countries oil? Our economies we go down the drain and we couldnt do anything about it. Im sure liberals dont buy into the theory of the best way to get peace is with the sword, not the olive branch. Id like to hear what you have to say about the matter.

I've solved all our problems to the world. I always thought to change the world you haft to start with your self so if the heads of state want to end terrorism they should go a head and kill them selves... Problem solved...

Since when do liberals not like the military? I think someone is confusing disapproval of certain military actions with non-support.

I, for one, do support our military. I hope for a day when we do not need war, but that day has yet to be. It is a nessecary evil, if you will.

Let's just look at the track record from 1992-2000....Hmmm....I don't even have to go into the long list from soldiers killed in Saudi Arabia, US embassy bombings, to the orginal effort to destroy the World Trade Center.....Oh did I forget the fact that under a certain liberal president that we let Iraq stop UN inspectors from searching for chemical weapons?....and don't let me forget to mention the lost souls on the USS Cole....souls never to be avenged by the sitting president....none of the attacks on th US during the Clinton era were ever avenged....CIA and FBI funding were cut as well as many military programs.....the Clinton era has set the stage for the United States to have to focus on the rest of the world rather than our own country....ironic isn't it?....libs claim that we don't do enough for our own people and they created just the opposite.

Hmmm, and let me think who was that president who gave money and guns to the Taliban during Desert Storm... hmmm, what was that conservative president's name? Oh yeah, G. Bush Sr. Wonder how strong he helped the Taliban become?

And who wants to live in a country where war is sought and fought to avenge past actions? War is meant to be fought to protect freedom and seek stability, not to avenge anyone or anything. Vengence is not what I seek, and I sure as hell hope it isn't what my government seeks.

I personally enjoyed the Clinton years, but he made mistakes like all presidents do.

Bill Clinton is easily one of the most corrupt presidents in history. He commited adultery, lied under oath, accepted many illegal campaign donations. We probably dont know even half of what went on and he still reeks of corruption. I will surely die if he gets his talkshow ive heard about.

I agree. Bill Clinton disgusted me when I heard he had sex with Monica Lewinsky, lied about it, and then apologized. I really thought that America's presidents were better than that.

I don't judge Clinton based on who he sleeps with -- that is none of my business and that has nothing to do with his presidency. And I don't even blame him for lying. Isn't that what married people who cheat usually do?

We know now, even if we didn't know at the time, that most of our presidents were badly flawed in some way. After all, presidents are just human.

As for the Clinton administration being corrupt, our current president has him beat. Bush is just not demonized in the press like Clinton was.

Anyhow, I supported Clinton and enjoyed his time in office. I didn't agree with every decision, but of course the Pres. can't please everyone all the time. I just think it is incredibly silly to judge someone based on with whom they have sex with.
