So how do you define god? Some people believe that god is an omnipotent being who sees, knows, and controls all. Other people tend to believe that god is the mechanism of the universe, the mathematical formula which runs the universe.

As for me, I'm an agnostic. I believe there's something out there that we have not yet to understand. But one thing I know is that GOD, as many people believe to be, is not a being. The idea that GOD is an omnipotent being is just total nonsense. So the religions we have now are just total erroneous. (ie. Christianality)

People have been worshipping false Gods and human idols. Some would carve an image on a piece of wood and call it a God. Some would worship a dead person as a God. Some religious leaders would tell lies to scam people's money saying, "If you don't believe in our God, God will cast you into hell! If you don't donate your money to our church, you cannot enter heaven." Some religious leaders would say anything to gain wealth and power. Their real goal is not to carry out salvation to the people. Their real goal is to gain political power, wealth, and fame.

I'd like to hear from you all what god really is.
:D

God (n) - A fictional being created by humans in an attempt to find comfort and an explination for the unknown; a scam created by humans to get money from a congregation of people.

A belief.

So will the real God please stand up :) maybe God was just the creater and then moved on to the next project????

OK

But one thing I know is that GOD, as many people believe to be, is not a being.

And how do you know this 100%?

maybe, maybe not, prove it.

So because a few bad apples twist something, then this makes the whole idea bad? There are people out there that have children for personal gain {power, whatever} so would this make all parents false? Maybe everyones idea of God is correct, maybe there is more then one God?

You're no agnostic, you are an atheist.

I'm an agnostic because I have not turned down all the beliefs about god. (ie. God is the force which governs the universe). I've turned down christian's way of belief about god, but this does not mean that I'm an atheist. christianity isn't the only religion.
