Trav, how many anti-Kerry threads do you need to start?
There is a Kerry-bashing thread for these posts...

so the guys who served with Kerry, the richest would be president of all time, say he is the greaest thing since sliced bread, thats real convincing  why do conspiracy theorys concerning the super rich only apply to republicans? Kery has 10 times more money then bush does yet he is pure as the wind driven snow, go figure.

Yes the ones who know if he has leadership qualities say he does have them. And the ones who didn’t serve under him, say he was horrible. Take your pick. But I think I’ll give with the ones who actually have validation to what they are saying.

Yet the soldiers who didn’t serve under him, have more validation? Even though they didn’t see Kerry in combat? That doesn’t make sense what-so-ever.
It’s not as if Kerry is paying them to say this…yet, I’d expect you to think so. But sadly, you have no link to prove that, either.

how do you know he isnt paying off the guys he served with to say good things about him? I find it funny to hear a bunch of guys saying only good things about their LT. LT's are known for being idiots. I have never met a LT who had their shit wired tight. I gues John Kerry was a super LT, to bad he skipped out early instead of really helping the war effort by LEADING his men through their tours.
Idioteque

Some veterans support Kerry. Some don't. The country is split. Just because a few marines don't like him doesn't mean nobody should support him.
There are very few things I hate more than seeing the right in this country claim a monopoly on issues like stentgh, patriotism, and values.

It's very sad that when you see veterans supporting Kerry, the first thing that pops into your head is "they can't be genuine" or "there must be a catch".
Not all veterans are conservative. Not all veterans support the war. About half the country thinks Kerry has a better plan for Iraq and I'm sure several veterans fit into that category. Many soldiers putting their lives on the line in Iraq know that they've gotten a raw deal and the last thing they will do is vote for BushCo.

Because they said it before he ran for the Presidency…and I’m sure it would get out that he was paying them off. But, you are avoiding the things at hand. The veterans who served under him support him, and have validation to what they are saying. Yet you are so quick to believe the veterans who didn’t serve under him even though they have no validation.

what exactly are kerrys plans for iraq? get the french and germans in there? people that are so partisan they wont send troops to help unless ther eis a party they agree with in office? he has no plan. he maeks a buch of empty promises that heis 20 year voting record in the senate dont back up. as recently as last year he has voted agaisnt funing the fight in iraq. all of your bullshit propaganda doesnt hide tha fact that kerrys plan, of gettign allies (france and germany, AKA< the whole world) to help us is crap. they dont care about the iraqia or they would be there now. they only want to help when they can get something for it. Wake up. the "whole world" (AKA France and Germany) only want what best for them, the same thing they accuse us of doing.

This is discussing his military records…not that. I’ll debate you on that another time Trav. But I do find it ironic, how you are so quick to change subjects…

Still, i must inquire: WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT HOW WELL SOMEONE DID IN VIETNAM?! It still has absoultely no bearing on how well someone can lead the country.

To the original post:
Trav, WTF does it matter if four Marines don't agree with Kerry? Not everyone will. Kerry, like any decent politician, saw an opportunity for a photo-op and decided to capitalize. It didn't really work out. So what? Not all veterans are for Bush, either.

In reply to the original complaint that no vets but the swift boat guys are behind Kerry.
I spent six years in the Airforce many years ago (72-78). I am a vet and I support Kerry. I also have about half a dozen friends in the national guard. Interestingly all of them support Kerry. Now granted, my friends are intellegent and well educated so possiby that is the reason why they are pro Kerry and not because they are in the military.

I was being sarcastic about NO vets being behind kerry. I know there are lots of them. A lot of guys got drafted and never wanted to go into the military. I would say a good deal of the draftees are liberal. we all have friends in the military who support kerry. hell, my best friend is a gay, black, muslim marine who lost his legs in Iraq and votes kerry
