Saddam Hussein, a few years before the Gulf war of 1990, ordered his people to take over the streets all over Iraq as a show of support for Palestines. He boasted that 7 million of his people have volunteered to help free Jerusalem from Israeli control.

Unbelievable scene that Palentinians clap, sing laugh, and wave flags at their Shatila refugee camp in Beirut on September 11, 2001, upon learning that terrorists hit America that day. Long expressing hatred of the United States, Palestinians have accused this country of failing to halt Israeli attacks against them since Palestine began its "intifada" or uprising in 2000.

As I have already stated many times here, the images of "crowds of palestinians" rejoicing after 9-11 just… do not exist ! There was ONE footage of a DOZEN people rejoicing; which was mostly due to the presence of western TV crew, which has been broadcast so intensively it has become a common misconception that the whole Palestine was partying after 9-11. But who remembers Arafat giving his blood for the WTC victims ?

I am not trying to say that most palestinians are great supporters of the USA. Sure they are not.

But the 9-11 tragedy raised a worldwide feeling of sympathy towards the victims, which was true in the muslim world as well. A very good occasion that was totally wrecked by Bush with his stupid speech about "crusades"…
