I was driving to work the other day scanning the AM air waves and low and behold I came across good old air america! I didnt get a chance to listen to it at the moment but got a good half hour in on the way home. What i heard was pathetic. I could have sworn I was listening to this forum. the entire half hour was not news analysis, like most talk shows are, it was ure propaganda spreading. I heard how Bush stoel the election, how he was unpatriotic, how Kerry was in vietnam, how hannity and Limbaugh were losers, how the tax cuts ruin the economy. i had to ask myself if this was a tape from years back or was it new? tehn I realized its a new show so they were actually going over all of this again. Another thing I found is that they have very few callers. they had one caller and they kept him on for about 10 minutes. of course he agreed with everything they said. the guy kept trying to leave after 5 minutes and they kept him on, saying 'tim, did you hear about..." and they would go into something else. finally a comerrcial came on and they had to let the guy go. Overall I got the impression they had little to talk about and few callers. I dotn know the name of the show, it was about 3:30 in the afternoon here in CA, it was a woman and her male sidekick, and they were at the DNC convention. overall i was hoping for a bit more, as i enjoy liberal talk radio. If they do nothing but rehash stale propaganda hour in and hour out I may have to tune out. Some actual news analysis from a leftist slant is what I wanted, not left wing regurgitations from a dog eared copy of the DNC playbook

I would ask you to listen more often, because they get plenty of calls. Air America is now the second highest rated radio station in America, so trust me, they have many fans.

Borg is a big Randi Rhodes fan. I am more of an Al Franken guy myself, although I have never heard Randi Rhodes' show (I can only listen to Air America online :( )
