What amazes me most about the story is that passengers on the train let this happen. I guess French non-interventionism extends to small scale actions too.

It is a sad world that we live in when we can't help a fellow person even on a small scale. :mad:

Have heard of similar situations in the U.S., where people stood around while a person was assaulted.
The old "Don't want to get involved" thing.

Also, the article did not state who else and how many others occupied the rail car.

The type cowards that would commit this act would have picked a location of little threat to them.

this reminds me of the final Seinfeld episode whee they got thrown in jail for not helping that fat guy from getting mugged.

"PARIS - Just days after claiming to having been the victim of a cruel anti-Semitic attack that stunned France, a young mother confessed she fabricated the story, authorities said Tuesday.
