Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but I've neglected ediets too.
Tom - the mini-challenge is great! Just so you are doing one of them.
Being Me - congratulations! You've just been "adopted" and have gained yourself a whole bunch of big sisters :D We don't make judgments, but can provide you with a lot of information and someone to listen when you want to say how your day went. I have to agree that skipping meals is not good  - just remember that it makes you have cravings and binge later on bad stuff :x Eat crackers, grapes, raisins and other small sized stuff during the day as much as you want, and the meals will take care of themselves. 1300-1500 cal per day is probably a good range for you since your bod needs them to grow all those "womanly curves" and to get taller. Get some exercise too (gym class doesn't count) but don't do more than 2 hrs a week - unless you play a sport of course. Hope you come back to visit us.
Oops. Gotta dash - we are in the "budget process" and have to submit insurance applications by Sept 15th too!
Everyone have a great day :!:

Oh, I am so happy! I came on and saw posts from you guys!!! Molly, Kari, Stacey, and lo and behold Tom! YEAH!!!! I've missed you guys terribly.
Well, it's been quite the long weekend for me having taken off Thursday, Friday, and then just had the weekend and holiday - so going back tomorrow will be lovely....I'm sure I have a s***load of stuff in my mailbox, and it's payroll day, so I'll be swamped.
Everyone sounds really good. Tom, hope your play was fabulous. Which one did you do? Anything I'd know? I would love to be able to do a play, or sing in a show..or in a band....sigh....maybe next year!
Lyss goes back to school tomorrow. My big 4th grader. She's such a sweetie. Of course she has her outfit picked out and ready to go. That was the best part of going back to school - the wearing of the new outfits. Growing up in a family of five, we used to get three or four new outfits, and I remember going to school and watching as some of the girls had new outfits for like 3 weeks!!!!! Unfortunately, I used to get jealous - stupid huh? Now I look back and realize how difficult it was for my mom and dad to get five kids new clothes for school! My sisters all have girls who are just slightly older than Lyss, and I really appreciate the HAND-ME-DOWNS!!!!
Molly, best of luck with you guys trying for a wee one next year. When you get pregnant, we'll all throw you a baby shower from edits or allforums! That would be fun!
Hi Being Me! It's so nice to have you join our group. I totally agree with the others about not skipping meals - but eat lots of little ones during the day and make sure you have balance in the big three - especially breakfast which really gets you rolling for the day. - A yummy bowl of apple cinnamon oatmeal, with egg whites, juice, or fruit, for example - you'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel when your body has morning fuel. Lunch could be something as simple as tuna on whole wheat bread with some crackers and grapes on the side, etc....you say you've been a little extra tired - that's your body's way of telling you that you need more fuel (carbs, protein, etc.) We're here for you if you need anything! Welcome!
Okay, I'm off to bed early myself this evening. I'll chat with you all soon. Take care! xoxmaria

Yo! Can we say, "Challenge!"? Let's fire up for a great 3 weeks, and watch the scales/clothes-fittings be our rewards. Remember to do all the other important things, too, like water and exercise. If I lose 2 lbs/wk for the 3 weeks of this challenge, I will have undone all the "letting go" I've tolerated over the past 2 months, plus get a couple of the pounds back off that I gained on purpose. No point in gaining any weight back on purpose, I've found! LOL
I am scattered from pillar to post today. I have lots to do before I start my new job tomorrow. The dogs need to be shampooed, I have errands to run, I need to stock the meal plan for the week... I had a great time with our kids and my dad over the weekend, doing each of them individually. Saw Tad on Saturday, spent Saturday evening, all day Sunday, and part of yesterday morning with my dad, then stopped in on Morgan on the way home. She and I had one of those wonderful mother/daughter times that are so special and un-orchestrated. She will be 22 in November, so it's interesting to develop the relationship into that of peers. "One season following another...." Oh, I gotta get that song outta my head!
Hope to hear from all of you this week! Like Maria, I just revel in keeping in touch! And, yes! A baby shower from all the eDiets crew for Molly and Eric will hopefully be in the plans for the upcoming year!
Gotta dash! Love to all!

Hi,
The site looks different.
[/color:50067ba7e6]It was my birthday yesterday and I did have a wee bit of cake but didn't go crazy. I'm happy to report that I am one sexy 36 year old. Glad I joined this group.
I've started with a body sculpting gym class, it's pretty cool. I was so sore after trying it last week. I'm going to go tomorrow. Today I woke up early (not on purpose) at 5am and instead of laying in bed grumbling, I got up and went to the gym and ran and did the rowing machine.
It's really hard for me to run that early. ha ha ha my whole body felt like it was in slow motion!!
Have a great day.

I want to applaud you for running in the am. I just can't do it. (I did one morning last week..and I also felt like I was in slow mo...)
Hi to everyone else....don't forget, for those of you doing BFL, I have an excel spreadsheet I use daily for eating and exercise. Let me know if you want it.

I have a running joke today: Since I didn't actually blow out any candles yesterday, I DID NOT age a year. ha I'm still 35! :P :!: Aren't you all just  with envy?

PS: I'm not doing BFL, but I'd like to see the spreadsheet.

Good morning! I had a great run this morning, as the air is so cool. Fall is here -- warm days, cool nights.
Happy belated b-day, Cara!!
My first day yesteday (on my new job) was hectic AND fun. I spent most of the day at a tourism meeting held at a buffalo ranch! I didn't even know we had anything like that around here! It makes Iowa sound even more rustic, but that's part of our charm. Anyway, there WAS a home where the buffalo roam, but I didn't see any deer or antelope. I know we have deer, though. There WERE llamas, peacocks, and burros, and they gave us a (are you ready?) tomahawk-throwing lesson! Farmers are diversifying by opening up their farms for tours, so they develop these "oddities"(?) to draw people in. I think it's a hoot, and people come from all over the country. :D
Otherwise, I'm still in the dark as to my day-to-day operations. I'll begin to tackle that today. :?
I'm doing great on the challenge! I think I'm beginning to feel like I'm back in the driver's seat with my eating and general health. I just LOVE being on a healthy-living plan! Gotta scoot. The day is dawning.
Love,
Kari

Kari - sounds like things are off to a great start with your new job, keep us updated!!!
I feel like I had something to say, hmmmm, I'm losing it. I miss hearing from Kim, hopefully her vacation is going well and she'll be back here with us when she reaches Cali!!!
Have a great Thursday!!! DH's sister and her hubby are visiting us this weekend from San Diego. I can't wait, they are the BEST!!! Taking them wine tasting and eating, I'll be here crying to ediet help on Monday.

Hey Stace - Go to "Profile" at the top of the page and you can change your options. At the bottom of that page it allows you to upload a picture that will appear every time you post. I had to really shrink mine down because it has to be a small one.

that's great! aerobrics? sounds fun. well I'm off my hyper state, something wore me down....um...yeah. though I must admit, you don't want to see me hyper. heh, hyper and depressed, that's gotta be one heck of a combination! No worries, I'm strange in just about every way! and boy am I proud of it! heh.
ok, school finally started, giving me 4 flights of stairs to walk up and down every time I go in and out of the school, ooo that'll give me exersize.

It's Saturday, and I'm going to a meeting in a little bit. I should do some other jobs I have lined up for myself this afternoon, then we're off for a wild evening of dancing and partying tonight. :D
Molly, to what do you attribute your fabulous energy level! Mine has been coming up, though it's been really down for about a month, and threatens to yo-yo on me for awhile longer. I'm doing the challenge on the thread, so hopefully a balanced diet will help. I also just discovered, as part of the challenge, that I'm eating waa-aay too few calories each day.
----------------------
Whoa! It is now Sunday morning, and I'm just getting back to this post! We had a total blast last night, and I didn't waver from my calories. However, I didn't drink all my water yesterday, and I can feel it this morning (and last night when we were dancing in the HEAT!). I weighed myself this morning and today it said I haven't lost anything. I know I have, so it must be the water.
However, I fear the worst may be in store for me. Since the challenge, I discovered through journaling that I have been inadvertently eating too FEW calories, so I think my metabolism is converting to starvation mode and I'm not losing weight. That is probably why my energy level has become pokey, as well! I REALLY need to follow the plan more carefully so I can have greater weight loss success. Life gets busy and I was thinking "less is better" when I'm not sure what I am eating. We all know that too little is the recipe for disaster. Let my experience be a lesson to you all!
How about this? At my meeting yesterday I was telling a couple of ladies about eDiets, and they want me to come to their house and tell them and some other ladies more about eDiets. If they follow through on it, I think I will! LOL
Gotta dash. I still haven't worked out (weight intervals today) and it's getting late! We're going to late church, so that's a good thing. More later!
Love,
Kari

Hello everyone!
Things are still crazy for me, I move officially on Saturday...and then the unpacking begins!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish me luck!
Happy belated bday Cara!! :-)
I was online with Molly yesterday and we are both up a few pounds and feeling like the co-presidents of Fatties Anonymous! So, we are going to report in to each other what we eat using the buddy system again. I am thinking about joining the UC on Monday. It will be hard for me this week since I am leaving, my mom is cooking for me on Thursday, and a good friend is having people over for me on Friday....so it will be hard to be good! Funny how we all socialize over food! I will be eating and saying goodbye to all of my friends!
Anyway, I will try to post regularly after I arrive in LA, after things calm down! Definitely by Monday, since I will be Ms. UC!!! :-)
Glad you are all doing well! Hello to all new posters! Welcome to our group! I will try to address everyone individually next week.

Fabulous news, Cara, BIG CONGRATS!!!!!!![/size:65d3886c87][/color:65d3886c87]
I am very excited to hear the news, that is wonderful!!!!
As Kim mentioned, she and I have both slipped a bit and really need a kick in the rear to get going again. I'm going to look back in the posts here to see what the challenge was all about. Stacey, can we join at any time? I did kickboxing and pilates yesteday, plus I ate very well. I'm back on track, but need some accountability. My "Happy weight" was 125 and I'm up to 130 again. HELP!!!!!!
Hope everyone else is well. Kari, not sure where my increased energy level has come from. For some reason I've been loving my workouts lately. I think it's because I finally got myself into a pattern. Now . . . to work on the eating pattern! YOu work on getting your metabolism back up by not cutting out so many calories, young lady!
Happy Tuesday, everyone.

[/color:56a3fedb4e][/size:56a3fedb4e] Molly, during the challenge we're having now, I discovered I have been eating too few calories for a long time! I don't know how that happened, but I've added calories and feel tons better already! I popped right out of bed on time this morning, and did my PT exercises and ran, all home before 6:00. I felt great! I have felt good all day!

Hey, but you still have to exercise okay? Stretching, walk, anything advised by doc.
Molly and Kimmy, hello!!!!!!! Don't worry about those few pounds! You know what to do, don't you??
You know what? I started dancing tonight!!!! It's hip hop! But I can choose anything, like street jazz, pop jazz, kickboxing, yoga .... and anytime too. The dance studio is 5 mins' walk from my office! I'm so happy! Molly, will u teach me too?
Maria and Margaret, r u two around?
I can chat with others who post in eDiets. Oh it's getting late and I have to sleep soon (after reading some office stuff for 15-20 mins I think) and tomorrow morning I'll DANCE AGAIN!
Bye for now.

CARA!!!!!!!!! [/size:3977debf7d]!!!!!!!! I AM SOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! HMMMMM.....I WAS ALSO A TAD BIT ENVIOUS???? SEE, THIS IS WHERE I GET CONFUSED, AND THAT'S WHY I'M SO UP IN THE AIR ABOUT TRYING FOR ANOTHER! THAT IS SUCH GOOD NEWS, CARA, YOU'VE MADE MY DAY!
It has been crazy as usual around here. Lot's going on in Mark's family, nothing good, unfortunately....his mom needs a major operation or she won't walk again, and she's being horrible about it. Not that I don't feel extremely bad for her, but she's making life miserable for her husband and children....such a long story...I wish we could all meet for coffee, say every Sunday morning, and just chat....why can't we do that????
I'm hovering at the same weight, and like you, Kari, I was noticing that my energy levels were low when I wasn't eating enough, b/c I was trying to lose the few I'd gained back too quickly. I kept saying, I want to lose 8 lbs. by Disney and just getting frustrated when I got on the scale. So, I'm trying to be more balanced and eat some more....I've become an asparagus junkie of late, don't know why!
Today, I'm FINALLY getting a new computer!!!! Hooray! i've been out there price comparing, and seeing what the dang deal I need? Do I really need things like - 4.0 of power for microwave oven cooking, and 6 gazillion megs of ram for high speed travel, etc.....it's so complicated, but I think I've narrowed it down to one that won't deplete the rest of the power source for the house, but will last at least a little while.....sigh.
SO HOW IS EVERYONE???????? I miss you all. Work has been crazy, and get this one....the other day when I was doing payroll (and you all know how much I love that), our front office person paged me in my office and said, "Maria, ???????'s on 1", to which I said to my co-worker Kathy - "did she say Mark's on 1?" and Kathy said "yes". So I picked up the phone and said, "hey, hon", only to find that it was RALPH - yes, the president and owner of the company......oh yeah.....score another one for me...I couldn't have apologized enough.....I could feel the skin burning off my face. But, as Mark said, "I'm surprised you didn't answer the phone and say ' what do you want ,dumb-ass? when you thought it was me?" So, I guess it could have been worse.
Anyway, I'm off to buy this blasted computer. Love you guys.

Cara - Congrats!! And I'm so envious that you managed to switch to part-time at work, just in time as it turns out! You'll have to sure to "invite" us for the babyshower...
Kimmy, Maria & whoever else is interested - the challenge is still going strong. We only have 2 that haven't slipped yet, and a few right behind them! Some made it for like a week or better then had a small slip and are starting over.
We are doing the "mega" 21-day challenge (21 days-in-a row) or a mini-challenge (10 days-in-a-row, 1 FREE DAY, then 10 more days). Take your pick! The only condition is that you can't start on the 21-day and then decide on Day 10 or Day 11 that you'd like to have a Free Day - just make a commitment!
Kimmy - have a great time with your friends Friday night! You deserve it! I don't envy you with having to unpack this weekend, but it will be loads[/color:8a01c7966e] better than packing it all up. :)

Hey, everyone! Yeah, Maria! Coffee on the chat would be totally awesome for all of us! :) We should set up a regular time and see what happens. It seems like we're having a harder time keeping in touch on All Forums than we did on eDiets. BUT, we're keeping in touch, nonetheless, so that's cool.
If you're on the eDiets thread, you know this story, so you can skip this part. The other evening after hours, I was still in the office working on some stuff when a cute little couple came in to look at literature about our area. Come to find out, they were a Norwegian couple who were on their honeymoon! They were just darling, and I wanted to take them home with me, SO I DID! :o They went out to dinner with my husband and me at a groovy little bistro that just opened in our town (serving great wines and imported beers 8) ), then home to our gorgeous, old renovated house. It was a hoot! I was sooo charmed by them, and could tell there was mutuality. Their names are Elisabeth and Stiener. How cute is that? She's only 3 years older than our daughter, and reminded me so much of her.
My dad is here now, his first trip away from home since my mom died. :( It is very emotional for him, but he's pleased he's making this step. He's leaving this morning to go to my sister's, and visiting other Iowa relatives along the way. He isn't planning to return home until Monday, so this is a big step! Not going to the cemetery for 3 days... :?
Well, I need to hop into the tub. I didn't exercise yesterday, so I made up for it this morning. I did my PT exercises, free weights, and I ran. I'm pretty funky right now and need some nasal relief. P.U.
Love,
Kari

Hi kids!
yes, I have a poochy tummy - already. I've order some books from the library on fitness and pregnancy and hope to be a fit-hot-mama.
I remember I gained 35-40lbs with my 1st baby and when I came home from the hospital I was so excited to be, what I thought at the time was "thin" now that the big belly was gone. But I was in for a shock when I stepped on the scale and realized I only lost 13lbs. Which meant I had a long way to go.
The first time I didn't watch my diet and I didn't exercise. The gym I go to has prenatal yoga and prenatal aerobics. Yes I am committing myself to attend them.
Ok team, help me stay on the healthy track.
Thanks for all the words of "congrats". It's so nice checking in to see all of your support.

OK - Let's see if this will work for me today. I wrote a long "catch up" post to everyone yesterday and then went to post and it kicked my post out. VERY FRUSTRATING!
Cara - How wonderful! A new baby, what a great blessing! I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly. How nice to have so many exercise options for your prenatal needs. It sounds like they will be good classes for you to take! We will all be here for you if you need us to keep you in check! When is your due date?
Molly - How are the lessons going? The break for you goes by sooo quick. Soon it will be time for recital again. YIKES, just kidding.
Kari - I am so happy that you like your new job. I guess like is not the best word, how about love it. What a hoot to find a couple that has so much adventure and was willing to do something different. Just think of all the exciting people you will meet on this journey. I hope your dad had a nice visit. I am sure it was hard for him, but going to see his children must give him a lot of joy also.
Maria - How is that screaming demon of a computer you bought? Hope our posts come over super quick for you. Now is the time that it would come in handy if you were back on the e-diets thread. That always was slow.
Amy - How is BFL going for you? Tom? How is everyone on the ediets thread doing? Tell them I said hello!
Stacey - Sounds like everyone is doing well on ediets. Are you all competing with another group or is this just for the group. I do miss being able to talk to everyone, but right now it is all I can do to post once a week here. Best wishes for everyone to lose their committed amount during the challenge.
Kim - We are thinking about you during your move. Let us know when you arrive safely.
Well we are building an extension onto the back of our house. What a mess. Hopefully it will be done in 5 to 6 weeks. If not I will have to kill my husband! I am not good with living with mess, makes me very stressed. But I am taking deep breaths and thinking of it as a welcome break from dusting! My DD has began tennis lessons. What a hoot. It is funny to watch kids develop the eye/hand coordination. I have enjoyed sitting and watching her practice. I am back down finally to 125, but still have a ways to go. At least the scale started going down again. Well besides that, not too much has been going on here. Hope everyone is doing well!

Dana, it was so great to hear from you again. I love that we can all stay in touch, but we don't post as often here as we did on the other thread. I hope we can come up with some sort of system to post more often. Any ideas?
Molly, if you talk to Kim, let her know we all miss her on All Forums, and to pop in as soon as she gets her computer hooked up! LOL
Maria? Whazzup?
Tom reported great news on the other thread, and wish he'd stop in over here. They got a huge grant they applied for several months ago that awards them over 200K during a 3-year period! How super is that?
I was out of town for business yesterday and came home very excited about what I'd learned. These are things that will directly enhance tourism in Decorah by adding a convention component. I'm just pumped.
Well, better move on. I'm a mentor, so I have three e-mails to write to my menteeees! LOL Love to all!

HI
kari, are you a mentor on ediets? I'm assuming that's what you meant. That's amazing.
It's weird seeing my weight creep up. In a way it's refreshing knowing there is little I can do about it. My 6yr old keeps telling me "You are going to be sooooo fat!" Lovely thought! Ha ha ha haa.
Tell Tom congrats from me. Getting the grant is fantastic.
Dana my due date is May 15th, so I have quite a way to go. I'll be relieved when the first trimester is behind me.
Maria where are you?
How's the ediets site?
Kim, how's California?
Take care all.

Hi all:
Wow, this thread is so quiet, but I have a feeling everyone has been extremely busy. or maybe you guys are just posting more on ediets.
We're getting ready for the big Disney trip and I'm just trying to stay focused and organized - RIGHT!!!! What a joke! I can't even type that with a straight face! Anyway, Lyss is so excited about it, counting down the days....
How's everyone? Cara, have you popped? I'm so excited for you and hope you're feeling great.
Hi to everyone else. Congrats Tom. Kari, you're probably a great mentor!

Hello everyone! This is my first message to you from Los Angeles! Note my location change! It was and is still a little crazy for me as I adjust to working from home. I am still working for my parents company, I am just working from home....so that means I am on the west coast and my company is on the east coast.....so...I am up EARLY every day. Fortunately, all i have to do is roll out of bed and go straight to our office (our second bedroom where the computer is!)!!!
I have decided to pursue some acting while I am here since my schedule is so flexible, I'll let you know how it goes!! :-)
Los Angeles has AMAZING weather, which i already knew of course. Its just always nice to go outside. I am still adjusting, I miss my family and friends. We are totally finished unpacking, in fact CB did most of it before i got here. But we need to buy some furniture. We both had bedroom sets, but no nice couches and stuff. So, that's what we're doing now.
It sounds like everyone is doing well! Cara, how are you feeling....I hope not too much morning sickness. Maria-have fun in Disney world! Kari--sounds like you are enjoying your new job! I knew you would. If there's any job for you, that's it!!! Molly- how is San Fran? I am definitely coming to your area this weekend. I get in Sat afternoon and leave on Monday morning. My ticket was like $72.00 on jet blue! How cheap is that? Anyway, I think we are spending the day on Sunday in San Fran, could you maybe join us for lunch? Let me know! Kathryn--good to hear from you!
Where is Tom, Melisa and others? How is eating and working out for everyone? I have been doing pretty good since I have been here, but I need to drop a pound or 2, I am not freaking out about it just yet!
Anyway, back to work! Talk to you guys later!
Love,
Kim

Kim, It's great to hear from you. Glad you're settling in. What's your family's business.
I'm feeling queasy most of the time. And when I'm not queasy I'm starving, if I go to long without food my body freaks out.
it's really weird seeing my weight creep up. On the upside my chest looks great~! ha ha

Kimmy!!! Welcome back! Well, I guess you're officially a California girl now! Hope everything is going great out there and that you and CB find lots of success. I want to see you on some shows, girl. Go audition and knock their socks off!
Cara, we're staying in a villa at Windsor Palms which is about 3 miles out of Disney. It's a four bedroom house, which is good b/c my sister and her family are going too so we thought it would be fun. It's one of those places that you have your own pool, etc. etc.....it looks nice. I'm looking forward to it. Yes, it's amazing at how good ones chest looks whilst preggers. Mine defied gravity! You could bounce pennies off them they were so hard! They looked better than fake ones!! HAHAAH. I hope your queaziness goes away. You do realize that this means you're having a girl, right? Queaziness = girl baby. Well, that's what I heard, anyway. I also heard that if you crave citrus fruits - like limes, than it's probably a girl as well. Strangely enough, I definitely craved citrus! I used to go out and specifically buy limes and squeeze them into a gingerale. That was my favorite drink.
Okay, contact lenses are completely dry. I'm gonna call it a night. Hi to everyone else.

Good Morning all my wonderful eDieting friends! It was a special treat today to hear from Kimmy! We all missed you so much, and knew your first post from sunny California would be exciting. Just remember us when you actually walk down a red carpet someday! You can do it if anyone can.
Yes, I love my job so much it's almost funny. I can't believe my good fortune! The position wasn't clearly defined when I took the job, but with less than one month behind me, I have figured out it has historically been a developing position. Now it's ready to go to the next level, so I'm pumped to be on board. We have so much fabulous development here, and the possibilities, while not limitless, abound and should be acted upon a lot better than they have been. Now, to lay the groundwork for the next move UP.
Cara, I love hearing your preggers updates! When are you due? I forgot.
Maria, my dr. wanted to write me up in a medical journal. I have three nipples (well, one looks like a mole, but it's a nipple), and the third one had a gland attached so that milk came out! I guess third and fourth nipples are rather common (!), but it was the milk coming out that made mine -- odd. (Personally, I freaked out with the whole thing - common indeed!) Anyway, I had so much milk I practically drowned my first baby. We left her with my folks for a week, and she never went off breast milk. My dad called me "Guernsey Burns-ey".
Molly, I saw you were online when I was checking quickly for an e-mail from DD this week. I am just sooo busy these days! Are you still looking for a new job? How about being Kim's agent?
Gotta dash. I'm not posting much these days on the eDiets thread or here. I'm still adjusting to this schedule -- it's daunting, trying to get it all done. No kids or dogs in the house now, either! Just a terrific new job and an active social life! Who can complain? LOL
Much love,
Kari

Kari - you are so lucky to have a job you love. Especially a new one!
Maria you are funny. I'm putting lemon slices in all my drinks (I don't usually do that). So let's see if you're right. And I'm drinking OJ - I gave up juice with ediets, so it's wild.
I'm due May 15th. I go for my first official OBGYN appt. on Monday. I'm excited and nervous.
Gotta run.
Cara
Hey, does this ediets thing really help?? What exactly does it do for you?

Hi, Jimmy! Great place you have here. Thanks for letting us hang out.
We have all had success with eDiets because we have all actually followed the program. You sign up for it online, and you have probably seen the ads for it all over the web. It's really cheap compared to other weight-loss programs, and you get so much from it! They take some data from you, then do a "personal profile" of how much you should lose and what your daily calorie intake should be. They also help guide you along with the fitness end of things. Then you get a weekly meal plan in your calorie range. You can choose either a convenience plan (all ready-to-eat dinners and food), a recipe-based plan (the recipes are written for one serving, but can be easily doubled, tripled, etc - they are fabulous recipes for those of us who love to cook!), or you can choose a combination of the two. We all met through a "support group" thread as part of the program.
I lost around 50 lbs, and others have lost more or less, according to their needs. I have also restored my fitness level to a place where I feel healthy and active again. I've also made a great bunch of friends, like Dana, Maria, Melisa (our founder), Molly, Kim, Tom, Amy, Margaret (where are you??), Meg, Patti. Stacey (our current guru), Kathryn, Randi, and the rest of the gang. The trick is to actually follow the plan and find a "support group" to help you along.
So, that's my spiel. If you join eDiets, look for us in eDiets 101 under the heading "lose 8-10 lbs with us". You're welcome to join us anytime!
Love,
Kari

hi
Jimmy, in addition to what Kari wrote. Ediets doesn't sell or push 'prepackaged' foods or drinks or pills or potions that you have to buy from ediets. They help you select good choices from your own grocery store. There's also a food database on their site where you can look up the fat/calorie content of almost everything under the sun.
Cara
Interesting, congrats to everyone sounds likes it been a big success so far :) ...
