Russian President Putin said Friday his government warned Washington after the 9-11 attack and before the start of a military operation in Iraq that the Russian special services

It’s ironic; they had all of these weapons and plans to attack the United States. Yet, we took out Saddam’s army fairly quickly, and none of the attacks or plans, that Saddam supposedly had, occurred. Oh and the weapons that he had, that were such a threat to us, were never used, against us. Don’t you think, if at all, they would be more keen on using their weapons and plans, since we started a war against them? If at all, that should have been the time they used the plans and weapons. They didn’t. That further proves that Saddam was never a threat.

According to sources, the report details serious failures by the intelligence community leading to the unsupported conclusion that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.

Sources say the CIA team has also found a number of "factual inaccuracies."

What does that have to do with Putin or the warning they sent us? I am soooooo Confused... I read it, then read it again. It is about the CIA cutting the hell of the Senates WMD report for purposes of security.. I am again confused. Explain please.

That is showing that we drew the wrong conclusion that Saddam had WMD's.

This thread is discussing if Saddam was a threat of not, and that is a source to show he wasn't.

The Russian President warned us of Saddam, and attacks he may be planning against us. The attacks most likely, included the threat of the WMD’s.

Regardless, I posted something to discredit the WMD threat, deal.

no let me post the warning for you.... And look closely at the warnings and that they were made to US in 2001 so they were pre 9/11 warnings.
I missed these myself until I saw this story you posted so I went and did the research... hmmmm Might be more here than you think OD.

Russian intelligence warned the U.S. last summer that as many as 25 pilots were training for missions involving the crashing of airliners into important targets.

In an MSNBC interview on Sept. 15, Russian President Putin stated he had ordered Russian intelligence to warn the U.S. government "in the strongest possible terms" of imminent assaults on airports and government buildings before the attacks on Sept. 11. No credible information has emerged from any source indicating that Putin omitted the above information when issuing the warning.

I got these from a left wing site criticising Bush for not listening to Putins warnings and stopping the attacks.
